So far the only pollster recently to have Trump up is Rasmussen. The same pollster that gave Romney fans comfort right before the cold hard reality of election day.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and put them in perspective of all other available reputable pollsters.

That being said, it's going to be a close election, to many people have a taste for little Trump dick.

Five months out the specific numbers are fairly meaningless, but the trends can be telling.

IF you look at where these polls are getting their numbers and which pollster is doing what kind of polls, the polls showing Trump ahead are generally of those who intend to vote but who may be unregistered, while the polls showing Clinton ahead are of registered voters and that usually is coupled with whether they actually voted in the last Presidential election. These latter two groups are harsh on Trumps numbers because so many of his supporters have not registered or never voted before.

The Associate Press, which is one of the big anti-Trump polling groups is owned by its membership and they are unionized and part of the AFL-CIO, so your mileage may vary.
