Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Sunday blamed Democrats – both in the House of Representatives and at the White House – for allowing the eviction moratorium to expire, as millions of American families are at risk of being kicked out of their homes.

"The House and House leadership had the opportunity to vote to extend the moratorium, and there was frankly a handful of conservative Democrats in the House who threatened to get on planes rather than hold this vote," she said on CNN "State of the Union." "We have to really just call a spade a spade. We cannot, in good faith, blame the Republican Party when House Democrats have the majority." ....

The eviction moratorium was a vexing problem for mortgage holders and landlords, who saw NO income from those properties, and were left holding the bag, as no compensation was was ever offered to offset their diminished cash flow.

At least Section 8 provides some compensation, even though the property often ends up being a wrecked shell after several Section 8 tenants.

Wait a fucking minute.
If Xiden says that the economy is booming, why are we worried about evictions?
There are ads for jobs everywhere you look, so WTF????
I was just fixin' to say similar. There are jobs, so there is no excuse for tenants to not pay their rent, or if not, at least some rent to show good faith. Landlords have to pay water, trash, upkeep, maintenance, etc.
Plus, minimum wage went up to 15 bucks. There is a sign in front of our new kentucky fried chicken stating it's 16 bucks per hour. Pretty sure its the same all over. So....those who are about to be evicted think sitting on their butts getting unemployment is better than working...well....out you go.

Evictions is only the latest way Democrats throw Americans under the bus. Every now and then Democrats show off their true colors, and let the American working class see how little they care about them. I remember when Democrats used to brag about how concerned they were about the poor & working class. Now, they don't even try to hide their disdain, as they take really dumb blacks, Hispanics, women, et al identity groups for granted.

Here's a partial list of ways Democrats show their unconcern, in addition to evictions >>

First, Democrats attack American workers, by filling the country with job-stealing illegal aliens.

Then, they discriminate against most of American (white) working class with Affirmative Action and Biden's ARP.

They they throw thousands of US workers out of a job, by shutting down ANWAR drilling and the Keystone Pipeline ( while OKing a pipeline in Europe)

Then they throw American women under the bus, by allowing Tran men to compete with them in sports.

And now, they are willing to see millions of workers, unemployed and out of the businesses they own, because of THEIR lockdowns, be evicted from their homes.

All the while, claiming to be champions of the American poor & working class.

Pheeeeew! - high-pitched whistle; eyes rolling around in head

Eviction Moratorium has to come to an end sometime... It was totally understandable during the pandemic and I would extend it by 3 months until the workplace is back to normal...

Unemployment is at 5.9%, so it is also understandable to not extend... This is a call, there is pluses and minuses in extending or stopping it now...

The only stupid answer is to say never have it or alway have it...

Oh they will have a meeting with her. Apparently she doesn't know their strategy. Always accuse others of that which they are guilty.

You will see how she will either be singing a different tune soon, or they will get rid of her.

This is a big thing the media will blame the Trump voters for

Pelosi has become so corrupt, she needs a partially-retarded commie like AOC to keep her in check. How sad...

I'll also note that NO ONE in the corporate media disputed Pelosi's claim that Republicans were responsible for her party's failure to extend the moratorium. It's clown world at Big Left, Inc.
