It's a mix isn't it? Speaking for one I lost interest exactly because of politics. I'll watch occasionally, it's just not the same. My step-father was a HUGE Ohio State FF. It's the only game he'd watch. His alma mater.

There are multiple factors that contribute to waning interest in sports although Wokeism is definitely a factor. It has also ruined late night TV comedy. There is nothing more unfunny than pompous hating Wokesters. USMB is a perfect example of that.

I think this is it. Yeah, there are those who want to inject politics into sports. But it is always during pre-game stuff or after the game is over.

I am a fanatical Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and have been since the 1960s. I rarely watch anything until the opening kickoff. No politics. Just good football.

Sports interest in Millennial, and Gen Z was waning prior to the whole full on 'woke' thing came onto the scene.

However, I think this woke faggotry is ruining it for older sports fans.
