Anyone watching the MTV music awards? It looks like a bunch of chubby strippers.

Pop music has always been marketed to the lowest common denominators, i.e. adolescent girls with lots of allowance money to spend on Boy Bands, the latest female pop singers and dancers, etc. It has been that way since Chuck Berry, and even before him Sinatra.

There is a wide difference in talents between many of these performers, and now everything is Auto-Tune, so real talent is even less of a factor now. These people mentioned above sell a lot of recordings, which is what 'Grammies' are all about, promoting sales.

As for 'Spanish' music, I would much rather see and listen to Tejanos like Jennie Rivera and Columbian Shakira's folk style music than the vast majority of rap and hip hop garbage. Grammies? Just a lot of racist thugg worship and crap the last decade or so. Spanish language lends itself to music pretty well, as does French. Boccelli is at his best when singing in Spanish, for instance, if you're into that genre.
