Shhh.. It's a secret. We don't want to add to Obama's stress. He has lots on his plate you know.

The National Guard is already in there, and they will be recieving federal aid. I am betting he does.

httGov. Phil Bredesen toured storm-hit Jackson and Nashville by helicopter this afternoon, and after landing at the Tennessee National Guard headquarters, delivered letters requesting a federal disaster declaration for the state to FEMA administrator Craig Fugate, who arrived in Nashville and was at the site. A declaration would trigger a wide array of federal assistance, including, Fugate said, possible assistance for uninsured homeowners.

The requests will have to be followed up later with detailed damage assessments that will begin after the water drops. But the White House said President Barack Obama made calls to the governor today and "pledged that the federal government will respond quickly to requests for support."

I also think it is funny, that people who bitch about state's rights, and the federal government being involved in their lives. Sure bitch a lot when they think the federal government isn't involved in state matters.

Just to note.. The National Guard is a STATE entity and has nothing to do with the feds. And yes, our governor will go to the feds and request that they return a little bit of the money that they take out of the state.
