Opposing Authoritarian Ideological Fundamentalism.
Most likely this latest attempt, and the next few, will flame out fairly quickly.

We have to keep trying, though, before this ridiculous, fucked up duopoly finally brings us down.

Good luck!

You ain't black if you don't vote "D".

A ‘third party’ isn’t the answer, of course.

And the problem isn’t the two-party system.

The problem – as always – is the willful ignorance, apathy, stupidity, and laziness of the American people.

Real solutions and reform come only at the very local level, when voters participate and get involved.

The American people are solely responsible for the bad government they get, not a ‘duopoly.’

Someone needs to explain to Yang that people just aren't that into him.

I mean, coming in last place in teh Democratic primaries, and then coming in fifth place in NY Mayoral primary, should tell him, he has the political appeal of dish soap.

But, no, no, it's the evil duopoly that's the problem. You know, that people who spend their lives in public service running for office are usually better at the whole politics thing than self-important rich people.

It will fail.

It will fail because the two dominant crime gangs write all the rules.

The problem is the two dominant crime gangs.

They write all the rules, and enforce all the laws on their own behalf.

Full stop.

People who spend their lives in one of the two dominant crime gangs know those crime gangs in & out, yes.

That is the problem; the two gangs & their bangers.

The system doesn't make third parties viable. If you don't know this, you shouldn't really be in politics, unless you're out with a single cause that people will love, something that will have real change, like Proportional Representation.

Oh, please.

The biggest problem with our politicians is that they reflect us. We can complain about Trump and Biden quite a bit, but the reality, they kind of reflect who we are as a people.

Only 35% of us can name our member of Congress... but 90% of them will get re-elected no matter what happens.

We're feckless idiots, no doubt.

And the two crime gangs take advantage of it - no doubt. :(

And if a 3rd party somehow DID make it, it would be pre-co-opted, or co-opted shortly.

No doubt.

Here's the problem with third parties. Let's review third parties over the last century, shall we?

Ralph Nader Greens- Loons
Gary Johnson's Libertarians - Right wing children
Ross Perot Reform Party - Complete nuts
John Anderson - Guy who was a sore loser
George Wallace's American Independent - racists
Strom Thurmond Dixiecrats - Racists
Henry Wallace Progressives - Communists

The funny thing about our political parties is that for their flaws, they tend to be pretty centrist and appeal to the lowest common denominator, for better or worse. Trump is clearly an anomaly because he figured out how to use an angry minority to terrorize his party's otherwise sensible mainstream into submission, to the point where they are LITERALLY defending people who tried to kill them on January 6th.

Third parties aren't more centrist, they are more on the fringes of issues...

I doubt Yang's third party will be anything different.

Dismissing candidates who often represent the rational best will of The People as nuts, losers & so forth while praising an alleged "centrism" between two psychopathic warmongering conservative crime gangs?

Shall we pass?

I will.

And so should you.

It would be nice if he drains votes from the Democrats in 2024, if not sooner.
