Most of the deaths in nursing homes in Canada were in "for profit homes", many of them owned by American corporations and run with part time staff moving from home to home, just like the US. For-profit homes came in under the Harris Conservative government in Ontario.

The home where my DIL worked told her not to wear masks or PPE because it "frightened the residents". There were never any PPE shortages here, and she said their storages rooms were full of PPE.

There is now a movement afoot to close all of the for profit homes.

What a pile of bullshit. There were 6,600 nursing home deaths in New York, not “tens of thousands of elderly dying”. And while one death is too many the exaggeration and hysteria by paid posters and fake news billionaire media is right off the charts.

And it does deflect from the more than 220,000 that Trump has killed. Especially the red state deaths in Texas, Florida and Arizona where more people have died than in New York all because these governors refused to take it seriously.

Now Captain Covid, is trying to go for herd immunity. He wants 2 million to die because he doesn’t know how to stop it.
