Even with the highest average property taxes in the country, civil service worker unions and mismanagement of State fiscal resources, despite the efforts of the Christie admin to rein in the State Assembly, the funneling of money to various powerful politicians and union officials, the state continues to bleed money.
The map in the link below indicates the states in the worst trouble. Note, save for North Carolina which is still recovering from years of waste, nearly ALL of the states in trouble have in common, high taxes, unionized public employees, crushing unfunded pension and benefit obligations and political corruption.
