The departure is clearly throwing some Washington journalists for a loop after decades of watching Democrats kowtow to Republicans.

During Thursday's White House press briefing, The New York Times' Michael Shear fixated on why President Biden wasn't extending more olive branches to Republicans, like Obama had in early 2009. Biden, for instance, doesn't have any GOP Cabinet members such as Obama Defense Secretary Robert Gates—a holdover from the Bush administration. Shear also marveled that Biden's first directives were "largely designed at erasing as much of the Trump legacy as you can with executive orders"—the inference being that such an aggressive rejection of Trump policies would turn off Republicans, thereby crushing all comity. Gee, what ever happened to "elections have consequences"?

Hey Republicans, we're all unified on ending the filibuster, fixing the Supreme Court, over turning 40 years of conservative failure and grift, and putting Trump and his spawn in prison. Isn't unity a wonderful thing?

Oh, for goodness' sake.

That fragile soul in the Oval Office does not have any policy either way.

He simply gets up in the morning and is handed a list of things to say and do for the day.

The hard-left radicals in the party have formed a cabal that is running this country now.

They are conducting purges at every level.

Their front man is totally irrelevant. They will gently push him aside at the right moment.

“…the inference being that such an aggressive rejection of Trump policies would turn off Republicans...”

President Biden clearly learned from President Obama’s mistake – there’s nothing a Democratic president can do to accommodate Republicans; Republicans are permanently turned off.

And President Biden had no other option than to reject Trump’s reckless, irresponsible, wrongheaded, and failed policies.

At least you admit that the Democrats have deliberately deceived the American people. So that's some level of progress.

Hey, Skews

That's because the DNC is in charge, not the president.

An Unapologetic Biden Is Finally Saying Goodbye To The Centrism That Has Hobbled Democrats

TRANSLATION: Another democrat lied to the voters and his actual agenda was never what he mislead people to think what they were voting for.

The departure is clearly throwing some Washington journalists for a loop after decades of watching Democrats kowtow to Republicans.
TRANSLATION: The radicalized based has shocked the experts. Demicrats never did kowtow to the GOP, the other way around.

During Thursday's White House press briefing, The New York Times' Michael Shear fixated on why President Biden wasn't extending more olive branches to Republicans
TRANSLATION: Biden will have none of the grace or skill of Obama. Joe is a crude, foul-mouthed thug who only intends to act as a wrecking ball on this country to the horror of all who voted and didn't vote for him. His delusion that he is representing ANYONE in this country let alone EVERYONE is a sign of his unfitness for office. He is already erasing policies that will clearly harm the country.

This loser starts at 48%. Inauguration Day usually marks the highest approval rate

Yet 81 million voted for him! 25,000 troops: to hide the fact that no one wanted to visit this POS's party anyway cause no one voted for him.

In a year his approval will be 8%.

They want him to be so bad they can impeach him and we'll be glad to have the unelected Kamela that couldn't get $5 support in the primaries.

First off if Biden goes as far left as Cortez and Sanders then I can guarantee the GOP will win the House in 2022 and might retake the Senate and will win the Oval Office in 2024...

The only reason why Biden won is because he was not Trump and Trump cost the GOP the Senate, so if he is out of the party and if your wish come true about going far left then expect to lose the House and Senate in two years...

So Biden has been lying about unifying America and being a president "for ALL Americans".
Leftist trash seems to be making the right's case for itself that Biden is a liar who cannot be
trusted to tell the truth or even realize what the truth is.

We're all in agreement then. Good.

Good. Lose the House and Senate in 2 years and the WH in 4 even without a civil war.

***chuckles***

Maybe not so much as all that. You're going to find that a lot of hard left positions are going to be left on the floor..when it all comes together. Biden is OK with that..these are his people..they talk each others language. Biden is a born Centrist...that doesn't have to mean pushover though.

The big question is can he bring compromise..I think so..some are less optimistic.

Biden remains what he has always been: a mainstream liberal centrist. And the “left wing” of the party represented by Bernie — like in the famous meme — is left out alone in the cold.

Biden’s control of the Senate and House is slight, so even if he were a bit more radical there is nothing he can do but posture. Of course he will still be an improvement over Trump. The corporate and Wall Street Dems absolutely control the party and most Dem Congressmen would never vote for a “left program” against corporate interests.

Only if the Repubs split in two or kill themselves in a long-running party-internal civil war would there be any chance at all that Biden or Harris might move somewhat to the left under renewed pressure ... and even that assumes the left matured enough to downplay its own identity politics and concentrate on economic and social reforms. If the left does that, it can also win over many working-class voters who were hypnotized by the Trump shell-game.

So you are saying Biden lied when he said he will be a President for all Americans?
