John Kerry says...
‘By 2030 we will not have any coal plants in America’

HEY Dummies like Kerry ....
How long does it take to build a nuclear power plant:????
According to the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), it takes about five to seven years to build a large nuclear unit.
Once the nuclear power plant is built, it is tested by the electric company to see if it properly runs, and if the power plant passes that test, it is ready to be used

It is 9 years till 2030.
As of September 2017, there are two new reactors under construction with a gross electrical capacity of 2,500 MW, while 39 reactors have been permanently shut down. The United States is the world's largest producer of commercial nuclear power, and in 2013 generated 33% of the world's nuclear electricity.

Now how many coal fired utility plants in the USA that Kerry says will be replace by 2030?
In 2019 there were 241 coal powered units across the United States which generated 23% of the United States electricity in 2019,
Projects can take between 1 and 6 years for completion at a minimum, with some extending considerably further.
So even if there are as many as 177 natural gas power plants currently planned, under construction or announced.
(Takes over 6 years)

So how did Kerry come up with the totally idiotic statement "By 2030 we will not have any coal plants in America’

Another reason truly dumb people like Kerry are involved in Biden's really incompetent and ignorant administration!

America needs to vote Trump back in the White House in 2024.

It's a nice goal, but I'm not sure America will even be a free country anymore by 2030. The right will rather support autocracy and stage a coup than accepting sane policies that are based on facts.

The goal appears to be to take us back to the fifties and watch the rest of the world continue to move beyond us.

Kerry has been a damn fool all his life

I still remember him dragging pajama boy james taylor to france to sing “you’ve got a friend” after a terrorist attack

What a joke

Kerry knows he wont be held accountable for not keeping that promise

Or for the turmoil and cold winters Americans will endure as libs phase out coal plants across the country

If you want to keep your country on the top, you better invest in new innovations early. Like regenerative fuels.

If you miss investing in these technologies now, there will be more money to make for Asian and European companies in 20 or 30 years, when nobody on the planet still wants your coal and you can burn it up all by yourself until the resources are depleted. But hey, at least it'll feel like the 50s again.

So you're a windmill energy supporter? Wasn't windmill cancer a topic last year?

Among Trump fans with a media diet on lurid Facebook fake news, FOX News propaganda and Breitbart fantasies maybe. I never heard of it and can say for sure already, just by reading the term, it's BS.

And for windmills... if you can think of better ways to create regenerative energy, go ahead and invest in it. It's the market of the future. And those who have good ideas today will be the millionaires of tomorrow.

The shift away from coal will be driven in part by market forces that are making natural gas and renewables more cost-effective power sources than the dirtiest fossil fuel. The trend has been going on for years thanks to fracing and other technologies.
