Fees for processing key forms in legal immigration were greatly increased recently, representing an obvious attempt at reducing legal immigration.

Illegal immigration must surely be stopped, but LEGAL immigration should not be made more difficult than it already is.

If the fees reduce legal immigration it will only be among poor and uneducated immigrant hopefuls

not bad, but a weak ass way to go about it. the levels of immigration should be greatly reduced.

Personally, I favor a five year moratorium on all immigration.

That's the idea.

I imagine the Biden administration will do something similar to the right to bear arms which is specifically protected in the Constitution.

What does the Constitution say about legal Immigration?

Immigration comprehensively is subject to immigration law and immigration jurisprudence – regardless whether an immigrant is documented or not.

It’s the role of the executive to enforce those laws, not to use its administrative authority to enact bad faith polices intended to discourage immigration, as Trump is seeking to do; the right’s anti-immigrant nativism is not ‘justification’ for such policies.

A truly ignorant, ridiculous post.

The rights enshrined in the Second Amendment are the purview of the courts and lawmaking bodies consistent with Second Amendment jurisprudence – having nothing to do with the executive, including Biden as president.

It is the president’s responsibility to administer immigration laws as passed by Congress, not to use those laws motivated by fear, ignorance, and hate to disadvantage lawful immigration, as Trump is attempting to do.
