Amy Barrett not that conservative

She is correct in her judgment of that law. The cost was never meant to be a tax. Never written into law as a tax. It was just a hail Mary pitch by the attorney arguing the case.
Yup. Her approach differs from Roberts. Roberts will correct it, she and the other conservatives would probably return it to the Legislature for correction.

A 2010 People of Praise directory states that she held the title of “handmaid,” a leadership position for women in the community, … the group’s male-dominated hierarchy and view of gender roles.

She's a Communist. The only reason to worry about "gender roles" as such in a community from a formal stance is to promote and compel wholesale prostitution.

Otherwise a married couple need to figure out their own gender roles, who cooks and cleans, who takes out the kitchen trash, who mows the lawn, what clothes are appropriate for husband and wife.

The professionally fornicating hookers and johns of the district aren't competent to get married in the first place if they can't figure that out themselves without assistance from SCOTUS and enforcement of appropriate dating roles by a pimp.

Yep the lefties are worried about nothing. She's far more middle of the road
Than most people know.

Jo
Yet another leftist judge appointed by a Republican president.

Voluntary? Democratic Party membership in good standing with "the usual" communist leaning is absolutely obligatory for any practicing lawyer or judge anywhere in the United States, no matter what.

The Communist Party agenda and politics of rape, abortion, and gun control at all costs are so firmly entrenched, established, and instituted at SCOTUS that the Constitution weighs nothing to those judges.

Populist politicians run as Republican, and then they let a Democrat cut their hair on the judicial bench.

Donald Trump is a populist, no doubt: he's out for the greatest number of votes. But Trump doesn't fit that mold. He has to take the best of a very, very bad lot from the American Bar Association, which has no conservative counterpart in the U.S.

Comment of the week.

Not conservative? Bullshit! She is a devout Christian who thinks that God's law supersedes the constitution. She is anti choice/ reproductive rights. She would vote to overturn same sex marriage and all other rights that LGBT people have achieved.

I will add that supporting the "lockdown" to prevent the spread of Covid does not make you a liberal, it makes you smart, which she is, despite her regressive views

Her husband works at an enormous corporate government establishment law firm. No particular "specialty" but all areas of law covered for certain "clients."
He has defended pharmaceutical and healthcare firms in various civil and criminal matters

Old posts...
Try surviving law school for a gazillion years, being trained by hard core Marxists, and coming out conservative.
The communists were fair-weather friends in World War Two.
She followed precedent already been set down under a National and State Health emergency.
Naked power grab.
First comes the Constitution's Law, then laws & statutes. If the latter do not support the Constitution, SCOTUS Justices should not vote for said statues & laws.
SCOTUS refuses to recognize the Second Amendment.
And it was necessary. How does that make her a liberal? The woman has a brain and she used it.
So who's pulling her puppet strings here? The husband works at that sick Establishment law firm.
