Social consciousness is not synonymous with "socialism". Common action is not synonymous with "communism". Either side, "left" or "right" that tries to make these kinds of connections is using propaganda against the rest of us. The many working together for all is inherently American. We don't need overly-intellectualized 'isms' attached. Using ideas and solutions that work is logical. Imposing ideas and solutions merely out of attachment to doctrine is disastrous.

It isnt necessarily the case. At its core the NHS is a giant insurance scheme. The only difference between that and the US system is that its a lot more cost effective and we are all covered from cradle to grave.
