It's a ridiculously bad show. I laughed at it for a few minutes last night, then turned off the TV and read for a while. There was also some Motown nostalgia thing on, but it was of course racist drivel so no point n watching it either; bunch of old, fat, and loud black people pretending they're heroes who did us all favors by getting rich off white radio and disposable incomes and blowing it on dope and fried chicken.

In fact I saw one of the black 'performers', some tranny looking creature who couldn't dance and didn't sing well either, and wondered if the judges tastes sucked so bad why was anybody even watching this crap in the first place? My guess is some sort of Pity Party gimmick was the only reason this thing was still there. Blonde dreds and a sparkely costume, and definitely not ready for Vegas.

It's the same show biz gimmicks over and over and over again, like an assembly line producing essentially the same acts. Sometimes an exceptional talent comes along, but not often. Idol does have a better record than The Voice in producing big stars, but I can't figure out why, given what I've seen of the show over the years.. Even American's Got Talent does better than both of those in producing stars, which is even weirder since it doesn't focus on singers like Idol and Voice do.

One of the best singers around was on AGT, Jackie Evancho , age 10 ... and LOST. Nobody remembers the the name of the singer who 'won', which is hilarious. The Texas Tenors(AGT), Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood both on Idol,, iirc, were contestants; those are the only famous ones I can name that are nationally known. The Swon Brothers were on The Voice, don't recall if they won but they play the casinos in OK regularly and I like them.
