Anybody been watching this show for the past few weeks? I like it, anyone else into it?

Oh I just saw your post in TWD thread that you started an AHS thread.

So far I find it just . . . .merrrr. It's just not doing it for me. I want it to be scarier and it's just not. It just might need a bit more time to set the pieces of the story into place. I don't know, I'll give it a few more looksees but if it doesn't improve, I'm out.

Love it. I mean, the Walking Dead is fun but let's face it, it's a comic book filled with lots of cardboard characters and it's been very predictible.

AHS is more like a James Cameron piece (think Alien). Builds anticipation. The protagonists are all severely flawed and vulnerable, go ahead and try to tell me what will happen three or four episodes from now - not predictible.

But then, that's that darn "Liberal Elitist" side of me coming out. Don't worry, it's nicely balanced out by my years long love affair with "24"...

I think the show would thrive on HBO where it could be racier and scarier, on FX they can only do so much and I think its holding the show back. This show would thrive on a network like HBO or Cinemax.

Maybe but . . . did you ever watch Nip/Tuck? Many of their sex scenes bumped up against soft porn, imo. And considering the fx on TWD you'd think they could go waaay scarier. It might just need to find it's footing . . . or not. But yeah, they could go wild with it on HBO.

Nip/Tuck was one of my favorite shows, the producers from Nip/Tuck also produced American Horror Story so it doesn't surprise me if it has a similar feel.

I've been watching it. It's pretty bizarre. I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with the neighbor lady.

Anyone catch the last episode of this? It was crazy how the guy with the burned face killed the Docs mistress, they keep giving us more info about the murders in the house as the show goes on, I like it.

What a lovely spoiler. Thanks ever so. >.>

Oh shit I'm sorry, that was from the episode last week I thought most people would have seen it by now.

Did you watch the last episode? she lived in the house at 1 point.

I think the maid, the kid who the dad was treating (who likes the daughter), the girl who came to the house at the end of the last episode (the one who came in for an abortion long ago) and possibly the scarface guy and the neighbor are all dead.

I think the scarface guy and the lady from next door are alive.
