How they act and what they say is highly atypical in Europe. They appear on screen and say proudly they are "GYPSIES" they do not like the "GADJO" (non-gypsies) and do not want to marry them. They say "they are americans", they say "FREE THE GYPSIES". They appear as very proud and outspoken, in Europe it is highly unlikely they would be that proud. Or even dare to publically declare themselfes Gypsies. In Europe in my experience Gypsies do not say always they are Gypsies, if they do not want negative experiences, but those on screen still appear "cool" because they are "GYPSIES" and wear cowboyhats, boots, drive cadillacs etc. and they appear as "cool" and "american". That is highly atypical behaviour in Europe.
