Specifically, RELIGIOUS freedom.

Had it not been for religious persecution in England, its quite possible this country may have never been formed.

They didn't run away from GB to go start up companies and make becoup money morans...they ran away from GB to be FREE to practive their own RELIGION.

What the hell is wrong with you Right-Wing Nutjobs? Isn't your party the party of self-proclaimed Christians?

Damned neo-cons...the lot of you.

Well capitalism is economic freedom.
Its not God, and its certainly NOT what the founding fathers intended to base this country on.

It was a by-product, a side-bar of their intentions.

Let you Neo-Cons and self-proclaimed tea-baggers tell it, its the end-all and be-all of this nation.

HOGWASH!

You are entirely stupid.

This nation was born of a lot of different things, you idiot.

Yes, a desire to achieve religious freedom WAS a part of it.

But a desire for SELF-determination was another.

The desire for LIBERTY was paramount and ...

only tools like you are unable to grasp that a significant part of liberty entails economic liberty and property rights. Neither of those things is consistent with socialism or Marxism. Both of them are consistent, however, with capitalism.

I'm glad you finally agree that this nation was founded on religious freedom but freedom is not a mandate on anyone. The freedom of religions may demand that we be good and moral people and perhaps help the poor but what if I am not of that faith or of any faith whatsoever. Should I not be able to decide what my religions morally compells me to do about those issues or should that be decided by my government? What if my faith demands me to horde every ounce of money I have? Should the state be able to undo my religion? What if I worship satan? What should I do then?

Do you see the intersection between our freedom of religion when the state begins to see itself as the moral authority over people's lives?

America was built on a genocidal overthrow of a nation.
They got their real estate just like IsNtReal is doing today.
Then they bought/captured slaves to do all of the work.
Gawd Blass Murka ! One Nation under Gawd ! With liberty and justice for all, 'cept them thar ******* and red savages.

Maybe that's the reason for the silence about IsNtReal from Murkastan and it's inbred cousins, the Queen worshipers ? Pot can't call kettle black ?

I do not know what those are but I'm sure they teach you to be kind and merciful to others and share your money. The right to practice your religious freedom by being in accordance with its morality is not endangered by me but the freedom of religion garantees that someone will practice a different religion, no religion, or just not practice your own religion as streniously as you do.

Subsequently they have the right to be in accordance with those beliefs which may make the less or more charitable than others. The state does not have a right to regulate their lives beyond what their conscience dictates to them.

moran? i mean, MORAN?

what a maroon.
Because you are such FOOL you didn't realize that I'm using the same FOOLISH usage of the word MORAN that the Tea-Baggers that FOOLS like yourself align yourselves with.

You are a fool, an imbecile, a jackass, an asshat, a moron, a pontificating buffoon and pretty much nothing but a douchebag.

You are confusing why some of the original settlers left Great Britain (and other parts of Europe) with why the folks who had been here for a reasonably long time at the time of the Revolution decided to Declare Independence from Great Britain, you blithering moron. (Note the correct spelling you ignorant fucktard.)

Many of our forebears came for religious freedom. But the Republic was founded on MORE than a desire for Religious Freedom, you ignorant douche.

Oh, and by the way, Malcolm Ex-Lax was a douche, too, in many ways. Or, maybe that was just his slave name?

Jamestown was an economic venture. the people fleeing for religious freedom were up north.

How can you have freedom without economic freedom?
