Can you imagine even moderate white people- much less extremists- being allowed to attend a black convention today without being hassled?

Nowadays, conservative speakers are driven off of campuses by libs denying free speech routinely.

But here, everyone is peaceful, in spite of their differences,listening politely to the other side.

A lot of dogs nowadays aren't that civil either. My neighbor has a golden retriever with a nasty attitude as well

Well back then there was this thing called "hickory shampoo" that was applied liberally to those that took to the streets with malice on their minds.

What you see in the newsreels is not typical...that's why it's newsworthy. Our society was much more civil and respectful prior to the Vietnam war. That's when the loonies came out of their closet.

We have never recovered. But the event of November 2024 gives me some hope.
