Ambition, fear, and greed are the 3 core values that every American office is proud to have. Very different from the pre 2009 world. Now the goal is the so called "fuck you money". This term was coined on Wall Street, where the best connected traders distinguish themselves with such a cash sum yearly bonus, that they can say "fuck you" to anyone without any repercussions. Your opinion? Discuss.

Ambition and greed is good, fear is for the weak and cowardly. The biggest bullies in society, are always cowardly and fearful.

Greed motivates ambition. Greed through criminal activity needs to be punished if it targets peoples futures and retirement, as we have seen with many "investors" and advisors. Otherwise, live and let live as long as you live a righteous existence.

Someone who believes they are special or more important due to money are on this earth to humour me. You can't take money with you and money won't prevent you from being six feet under one day, though you may cheat it from time to time. So, if people believe they are more important due to their money, they are sorely mistaken but that's for them to know or not know, makes no difference to me nor impacts my personal existence. I prefer ambition and drive, with a humble, gracious acceptance of wealth when it's achieved.

Otherwise, pursue your ambitions and go forth and apply your talents. In fact, it's your DUTY to apply yourself. Seek more and more, be greedy, that's capitalism, as long as you do so within the law and in the spirit of honest success via contribution. What is one supposed to do, stop once they reach a particular level of success? If so, find another challenge to fullfill.

As for fear. It's not in my personal lexicon and I find it a very lowly trait to possess.

God Bless America!

P.S I don't know about fear, but certainly greed and ambition were staples of the 20th Century American, and America lead the world for an entire century. Unless these Snowflakes, neo-communist and socialists get their way, this century must follow the same path.

Pride became shameless amongst the hoards starting with Reagan

I think reasonable fear is a good thing. If you are hiking and run into a grizzly bear, fear produces a chemical reaction that increases your strength, speed, and stamina. Unreasonable fear is what is the problem.

Also, how you react to fear is the question. If you say you have no fear you are either lying or stupid.

I don't believe that ambition fear and greed is a new post 2009 phenomenon. Big money and bonuses on Wall Street have been a thing for decades. If there is a new obnoxious attitude associated with highly compensated traders that is probably due to the Narcissistic egocentric tendencies of a new generation of traders.

Indeed. I am referring to constant, everyday paranoia and fear. Obviously, fight or flight situations require a reaction that focuses on survival. Or, if you are boxing, you have a fear of your opponent who could harm you. Fear to me without precusor or a particular stimuli is a waste of my time.

Jesus made a great comment that applies to so many things and I assign fear as one such application, how much time is added to my life by worrying? Indeed. Fear is an even more useless trait outside of immediate physical threats to my being.
