Every time there are leftist protests which are met with riot police, tear gas, violence and mass arrest of protesters, nearly all of the charges are dismissed against the protesters. And then the protesters file suit against the police and win big amounts of money for having their rights violated, and for excessive use of force by the police.

There is a long sad history of right wing American police departments violently attacking and arresting protestors marching for the rights.

Then when the DA’s look at the body cam footage, the injuries and the allegations, they start dropping charges.

In the 60’s they unleashed dogs on the protestors, beat them with clubs, and then handcuffed the victims to their hospital beds.

But in fairness it should be said that Portland's law enforcement have doubt in the political climate being sympathetic to carrying out justice.

2. Refuse To Enforce the Law.

The insurrectionists weren’t “protesting the stolen election”. They were attempting to prevent Congress from certifying the results of a fair and honest election in accordance with the constitution.

They sought to prevent the Inauguration of the man who was elected President and keep Trump in power as a white nationalist dictator.

Pretty ironic that the FBI is busy tracking down and prosecuting mom and pop criminal trespassers while federal judges are dismissing charges against arsonists and looters. If memory serves a (friendly) federal judge dismissed every charge against a genuine domestic terrorist who bombed and terrorized Americans for more than a decade. Bill Ayers walked a free man while the judge blamed the FBI for "illegal surveillance".
