We know that the director of national intelligence (DNI) is making an assessment into how much damage was done by the former Republican President when he stole hundreds of pages of classified documents and stored them in his home at Mar-a-Lago.

We know Trump has had classified documents for 20 months.

We know there is no control over the comings and goings at Mar-a-Lago except for Trump.

We know there was no control over the access to these documents other than Trump. We know that is a completely unreliable control.

We know Trump has never provided a reason as to why he stole the documents. This is the elephant in the room as the DOJ and the DNI try to assess the damage wrought by the former Republican President. Why did he take them? No one has a clue. The lack of an explanation -- even a lie -- is intriguing.

That said, there is a possible explanation.

We know Vladimir Putin helped Trump become our President in 2016.

"The [Republican] Senate Intelligence Committee reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office." https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...rms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171

Has a Russian agent already been allowed to see and record relevant intelligence from the documents?

Is this why the DNI is assessing the damage done by Trump?

ANY breach of security like this (and it was a massive breach) would be cause for a damage assessment.

But the possibility that this had to do with something nefarious is very real

We have to keep this story alive to October 2023.

It should be quite a while before we trust the Republican Party again.
Trump's supporters are hard at it, creating chaos in preparation for the November mid-terms. In effect, they are endangering American democracy.

Because free elections are the foundation of American democracy, Trump's supporters are doing exactly what Vladimir Putin wants them to do.

In a way, Trump's cult is rewarding Putin for his efforts in 2016.

"The [Republican] Senate Intelligence Committee reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office."https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...rms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171

These are the same people who chose our President in 2016.

ABC explains, "In Colorado, supporters of Donald Trump seeking evidence of 2020 election fraud have flooded some county offices with so many records requests that officials say they have been unable to perform their primary duties.

"In Nevada, some election workers have been followed to their cars and harassed with threats.

"And in Philadelphia, concerns about the potential for violence around Election Day have prompted officials to install bulletproof glass at their ballot-processing center.

"With ten weeks to go until the 2022 midterms, dozens of state and local officials across the country tell ABC News that preparations for the election are being hampered by onerous public information requests, ongoing threats against election workers, and dangerous misinformation campaigns being waged by activists still intent on contesting the 2020 presidential election.

"Elizabeth Howard, senior counsel in the Elections and Government Program at the Brennan Center for Justice, a nonpartisan think tank that tracks election rules, said it smacks of a coordinated effort!"

Do you even know what espionage means? This is yet another phony talking point the Communists came up with for the MSM (Main Stream Media) to reverberate. What evidence is there that Trump destroyed anything? How did they find that in the 15 boxes they took from his compound?

You know, the public is about sick of this shit. These phony allegations because the Communist party is so scared to death of this man. They have nothing to run on and they don't want a very successful ex-president to come back and straighten out their mess.

Russian collusion, phony impeachments with no impeachable offenses, 1/6 commission in a matter Trump had nothing to do with, the bullshit Kavanaugh hearings, bullshit rape allegations of Trump, people are fed up, and if they push this stupid thing, people are just going to get even more pissed off.
The statues listed in the warrant includes violation the espionage act which includes taking retaining, and mishandling of national security information. The statues in the search warrant are part of the basis for the warrant. However, Trump may be charged with other criminal violations.

The NARA reported in Jan 2022 that presidential documents returned by Trump were altered, damaged, or destroyed. There were 30 boxes containing presidential records. 15 of the boxes contained classified documents.

I think you're confusing political accusations, actions and investigations with criminal investigations. What has come before had political consequences. Criminal investigations that the FBI is doing now can result in criminal charges and jail time. Anybody but Trump that took and retained and did God knows what with 300 classified documents would be facing the rest of there life in jail. Trump will most likely weasel out it as he has done in the past.

When evidence is brought before the grand jury, it is going to be overwhelming. We now know of over 300 classified documents that have come from Mar A Lago. The number of presidential documents recovered is unknow but judging from the comments from NARA it has to be a lot. Some presidential documents altered, damaged, or destroyed were part the president's meeting with Kim Jong-um which is consider historically significant.

As I said, it would have been a hell of a get out of jail card. He still might have dozens of classified documents because we don't really know how many documents he may still have. The president does not check out classified documents and he has complete access to everything. He could have dozens of top secret document tucked away to use as he pleases. Nothing is keeping him from playing let's make deal, if not with the US, there would be plenty of players from abroad that would play. And we all know Trump loves making the deal.

You're being fed selective, unprovable leaks just like during Mueller and other 'investigations'. See you went hook , line and sinker....again.
