Many so called 'Conservative Christians' live with one another without being married, before being married. There is 'immorality', 'pornography', 'immoral living' while claiming to be Conservative in/with Christianity.

There needs a lot of healing of 'broken hearts'. - Bill Arnold

Although there are so called Conservative Christians, their lifestyles do not show the sincerity of their 'claim' of who they are with/in Christ Messiah.

1. Who 'we' are in/with Christ Messiah -vs- Who 'we' are in/with Church.
2. Claiming a 'stance' within an Established 'Faith' while not adhering to the 'rules' of the 'Faith'.

There are many who claim themselves as 'Conservative Christians' but their lifestyles are contrary to the general assumption of what a 'Conservative Christian' is. Loose lifestyles, pornography, sexual immorality, looseness/freedom, lack of responsibility, etc....

Christ Messiah nor any of the Apostles ever suggested to 'follow' after the upcoming 'shepherds' of the flocks... Rather they 'warned' against such 'followings'...

The Apostle Paul spoke of how wolves in sheep's clothing will enter in unawares to seek to devour COMPLETELY. None suggested to 'follow' after 'man'; regardless if he/she was a shepherd to a flock of real 'sheep' and not 'humans'.

Interesting post. As a student of military history first, of political psychology second, and as a paleoconservative practicing Christian, I both strongly agree with some of your points and vehemently disagree with others.

On one hand modern generations of conservatives have been so bloody conditioned to believe some "little sin" is perfectly acceptable, speaking to porn and similar pop cultural trash, whilst others have been misled into believing no amount of sin is essentially grounds for dismissal from entry above, not when at the end of their lives they can ask for forgiveness one final time. All of the preceding I find not only insane and pitiful, but also enervating to say the least.

On the other hand we modern peoples are as much products of our time or Age on carnal Earth as was Christ and the early scions of his following. We humans of any age will never be perfect nor will we ever be Christlike. Not happening. My belief, grown over half a lifetime of experiencing Third World hell through missionary work and later, military service, goes something like the following. We flawed, imperfect human beings who have given ourselves to Christ's word should focus more on leading by example when we can than spinning our wheels in self-flagellation over certain sins of the flesh no man can reasonably resist in this Age of Man.

That's not to say we should embrace overt evils like pornography or hyper violent media; abortion or trans mutilation of our children, but some basic, well described sins such as premarital cohabitation likely will not drag us straight down to hell when our time comes. And then there are such mortal sins as killing in time of war and in other service to our nation that for the thoughtful, introspective, kind and responsible conservative Christian can often never be reconciled.

Have you ever considered this verse?

(J)ohn 1:6-8 "There was a man sent from God, whose name was (J)ohn. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light."

What do you think this means and Whom do you think this refers to?

(J)ohn was sent from God. The same, (J)ohn, came for/to be a witness. A witness to Whom? To Christ Messiah. And what did Christ Messiah do? Bore witness to/of The Light. Who was sent into the world not to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him? ((J)ohn 3:17). Christ Messiah. And what did Christ Messiah offer? That all could could trust in Him to believe Him. But was Christ Messiah 'that' Light? Did Christ Messiah bring testimony of Himself? Did Christ Messiah come to 'honor/bring testimony' of Himself? No. So was He that Light? No. Was He 'sent' to bear witness to/of that Light? Yes? What Light was He sent to bear witness to/of?

Have you considered the minds of today's so called devout believers who might or might not understand this verse?

Could a basic understanding to the truth of this verse allow for the Qur'an's statement that Christ Messiah was a 'messenger' just as Muhammad was a messenger to be more 'acceptable' in the minds of Godly scholars?

And still. What is more important? What is the greater 'weight'?

To live rightly or to have knowledge rightly? So if living rightly is going to be neglected for the purpose of having knowledge rightly, would it be fair to say that those who choose to put living rightly before having knowledge rightly would be considered those that will come from east and west, north and south, to recline and dine with Abraham, (I)saac, and (J)acob as those who were upright in The Way although they might have been 'lacking' in knowledge to 'religious' doctrines and referential cross referencing?

Luke 13:29 "And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God."

And so if this is true, what saves? A life lived 'rightly' or knowledge that cannot understand nor attempts to get the 'wrongs' which prevents being 'saved', corrected? What/which would save? What about those who in their knowledge seek to correct the wrongs which prevents 'saving'???

And so, why did anyone come to believing and becoming 'believers' again? To be saved or for some other reason?

If to be saved, then to change perspectives into the truer 'path' would be more appropriate, right? But then why would anyone or thing be reluctant into getting into that truer, in knowledge, 'path'?

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."

1 (J)ohn 1:8;10

Would I feel comfortable admitting to myself that I have lived a life of a 'lie' although I've been a Holy Bible believer and speaker and achiever most of my life IF I had to admit certain things about The Holy Bible, which I thought and accepted as True were, actually being shown, to NOT be?

And so... would those that had very little knowledge of the Written Word be more apt into receiving the greater 'reason' and 'logic' and 'reasonableness' of the cross referencings MORE than those who were/are unwilling to see their lives as having possibly being mis-lived or mis-lived for for some insincere Godly day to day, week to week, Church attendance and 'Godly' living?

Why would it be difficult to see their life as a joyful, Church attending life even IF, even THOUGH they were to find out that certain 'teachings' were being neglected and or disrespected or even deliberately unspoken about?

How much could a person 'lose' that to speak contrary to their idea of 'worth' would mean a need to deceive self even on points of 'facts' of 'cross referencings' and not on points of 'opinions' to dress or mannerisms, etc to the point of rebutting with spite and/or even a desire to harm the speaker?

And isn't this the very reason why Christ Messiah was 'hated' without cause that He was even handed over to be crucified/put to death, just as the other 'death penalty' criminals of that region were put to death; by crucifixion? Yet it wasn't by the 'lay persons' of everyday rightful living but by those whose minds were filled with their ideas of what Truth, undeniable, was.

So once again, we get back to the idea... Although the sky and the sun and the moon is above our heads, way above our heads, there are still many minds that declare their 'right' to not have to acknowledge life's need for The Holy Providers. And this in turn begins the vicious wheel of gangrene thoughts being spread and accepted as 'truth', undeniable.

And yet WHO are the 'customers' to this wheel? The boys and girls of the world who will grow into adulthood to eventually become the next generations top 1 percent, the next 2 percent, the next 10 percent, etc... the majority 70+ percent of the total world's human population....

Prince Girls and Boys Lyrics -

Girls and boys!

He only knew her 4 a little while,
but he had grown accustomed 2 her style
She had the cutest ass he'd ever seen
He did 2, they were meant 2 be
They loved 2 kiss on the steps of Versailles
It looked like rain, mama, birds do fly
I love u baby, I love u so much,
maybe we can stay in touch
Meet me in another world, space and joy,
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys

He gave her all the love that anyone can,
but she was promised 2 another man
He tried so hard not 2 go insane
Birds do fly, looks like rain
I love u baby, I love u so much,
Maybe we can stay in touch
Meet me in another world, space and joy,
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys

Life is precious baby, love is so rare
I can take the breakup if u say that u care
He had 2 run away, his pride was 2 strong
It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
(I love u baby, I love u so much)
Maybe (Maybe we can stay in touch)
Meet me in another world (Meet me in another world, space and joy)
vous etes tres belle (vous etes tres belle, mama)
girls and boys (girls and boys)

(I love u baby, I love u so much)
I want u, babe (Maybe we can stay in touch)
Maybe we can play today (Meet me in another world, space and joy)
vous etes tres belle (vous etes tres belle, mama)
girls and boys (girls and boys)

[Translation in brackets]
Vous etiez de l'autre cote de la salle
[U were on the other end of the room/hall]
Vous dansiez si fort
[U were dancing so hard/strong]
Je sentais votre parfum
[I could smell your perfume]
Votre sourire me dit que nous devrions nous parler
[Your smile told me we should talk]
Sexe et repos
[Sex and rest]
Baby
Je sais que vous aimerez ca
[I know U'll like that]
Vous n'y resisterez pas
[U won't resist it/to it]
Baby
Je vous enlacerai avec mes jambes
[I'll wrap my legs around U]
Baby
Pendant des heures je vais vous etonner
[During hours I'll astound U (?)]
Baby
Faire l'amour Faire l'amour
[Make love make love]
Nous nous rencontrerons
[We'll meet]

I love u baby, I love u so much
Maybe we can stay in touch
Meet me in another world, space and joy,
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys

(I love u baby)
I want u baby (I love u so much)
I want u so much (Maybe we can stay in touch)
Maybe, maybe we can stay in touch (Meet me in another world, space and joy)
Another world, space (vous etes tres belle)
Lips... (mama, girls and boys)
Face...

Happiness in it's uncut form
Is the feeling that I get, you're warm, warm
Happy's what I get when we do what we do
Happiness, mama, is being with u
Good lord

Meet me somewhere after dawn
Lord (I love u baby)
(I love u so much)
(Maybe we can stay in touch)
(I love u baby)
(I love u so much)
vous etes belle
So like I saw u from across the room, and (maybe we can stay in touch)
Honey, u danced so hard I smelled your perfume, (maybe we can stay in touch)
and the look on your lips said that a,
"We could talk some more, (maybe we can stay in touch)
some more on the dance floor baby" (I love u baby)
Hear the words I'm saying, (I love u so much)
Feel the sex I'm laying (maybe we can stay in touch)
Naughty's what I wanna be with u tonight
Tonight
(Meet me in another world, space and joy)
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys
vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys
Girls and boys

Thank you—for making me think. What I consider daily are the men and women, some of them claiming to be believers, who condemn whole fellow human beings bearing important messages or engaged in important acts for the flaws in their mortal character. That said, I think I get what you're getting at, and it relates to the second sentence of my response.

That said, I think I get what you're getting at, and it relates to the second sentence of my response.
and do you want to know what I find really far out?

The idea that many believe that many find 'strangers' aware of their personal 'flaws' of their own 'character' as though many were keeping 'tabs' on every human being out there. If family members weren't enough, where do these other so called 'critics' come from? I mean in all actuality, who is condemning who in this world? I'm not talking about in the neighborhood... I'm talking about in the world... If while living in the neighborhood I live within I live with non friendly persons who are quicker to throw stones at nice greetings that I feel 'judged' for being friendly or giving friendly greetings, if I feel 'judged' for this, is it fair to say that the entire world would be just as 'condemning' to my friendly hellos and friendly smiles as the so called neighborhood that I might be receiving those 'stone hurls' within and being condemned by? Probably not.. The entire world would probably NOT be as 'condemning' as my neighbors might...

And for me to publicly state that the majority of 'life' is contrary to individual personal 'vices'; such as being 'friendly'... yes being friendly can be a vice in places where to be so is not seen as a 'good' thing.... would be more on the 'closed minded' side rather than being on the 'world wide' view side.

Here is an example to being 'nice'... Although the European 'migration' flux which occurred within the last 5 years or so has proved somewhat overly bearing to those countries in which the fluxes occurred, the 'niceties' which the local residents tried to offer, attempted to offer, in the beginning of the fluxes proved, many times, to be contrary to usual 'nice' interaction result(s). What usually results from friendly, nice greetings and extensions of salutations, which usually is the continued progress of acceptance and the extension of 'safety'; one to the other, many times did not result but rather the contrary which was pain and hardships and tears and embitterment towards those the local residents attempted to be and show 'niceties' towards in and at the very first.

So although many might think/believe that 'nice' is a generally 'well being' thing, this assumption has proved only that... that it is only an assumption to believe that all believe that 'nice' is a 'good/better' thing.

One thing I found remarkable was this...

Is.I.L throwing 'gay' men off high buildings just because of sexual orientation... this in front of onlookers on the ground and this even AFTER the same sex oriented persons declared that they were willing/that they were going to 'CHANGE' their sexual behavior, even in The Name of God to which they believed Is.I.L were Islam(ic)/Muslim with/to. Not even with a verbal declaration of 'change' away from being 'worthy of death' by so called Godly 'jihadists', were they allowed time to 'repent' and bear fruit worthy of repentance...

So... being judged on personal vices/moral issues or being tossed off of high buildings?? Or are they the same? Of course the individuals in Is.I.L do not have any personal 'wrongs', morally or in the vice areas, themselves, right?

And so you get into the phobias. Doing harm to others because of personal phobias...

And then the next reasonings of excuses... Because although they claim themselves to be 'religiously' affiliated, not only Is.I.L but any person or persons or group or groups, they are more 'atheistic' than religious to which and by which they do not feel overly burdened by any Godly type of 'remorse' or inner urging that what they are doing/what they did was/is morally inappropriate.

Have you heard of 'affluenza' and the wealthy kids' psychosis as to why he drove onto the sidewalk?

Because he didn't know to do so was 'morally' inappropriate. You can sit there and try to come up with reasons, a reason why a particular person, aged whatever the age might be, would do what he/she did... but rather than sitting there trying to figure out a stranger's inner struggle, why not hope and pray that his/her close relatives and friends and 'support' group will have the same type of concern towards him/her as you personally might... Surely they would have a few caring persons in their life, right?

And this is another strange and fearful aspect... Because once a very wrongful deed was committed, when reason and clarity begins to become obtained and possessed to the point of having the life changed for the better, the damage would have already been done... yet still that struggle to deal with this 'yin and yang' itself. How does one continue on with sensibilities coming into possession when the remembrances of the deed, which to the sensibilities which are becoming 'life savers' being obtained, is repulsive and has the person struggling to keep self in tact?

For this reason are there professional helpers who can properly offer rightful, not passing/not meaningless, guidelines to a continued life. These 'helpers' would probably be within a special kind of 'rehabilitative' services which require a special/different kind of training and approach to rehabilitation.. But still, not condemning, not judgmental; not imprisoning fellowshipping or help given. The greater aspect to this? Another 'life' saved and not destroyed; regardless of past destruction(s).

Regardless of others' opinions as to who should 'live' and who 'should not'. Why? Because plain and simple. Others, the other opinionated human beings, with whichever opinion they would have, is not/are not The Ones To Whom sincere 'accountability' and 'account given' is going to be needed to be given unto. And They are The Ones Who matter in every life equation to the question, 'why'...

here is a Good way to look at this...

Imagine yourself as needing to be judge to a person's past 'murders', etc.... would you want that person to be honest and sincere or would you want that person to be deceiving and trifle when speaking with you about his/her past wrongs while you are trying to be serious and while you are trying to see what you could do for his/her well being in getting into a better, non 'murderous', life/lifestyle...

:)

Yes?

Yes... of course... and let's not forget... I, being evil, know how to give good gifts... How much more then does The Heavenly Father, how much more then does God, how much more then does The Holy Spirit, know how to BE Themselves??

Priorities first....

Yes, my past might be filled with bloodshedding and hatred.. Yes.. but King David was also known for being a man of blood shedding... so I'm obviously NOT the first 'bad' person...

Priorities first...

Yes, my past might not be so pretty and priestly.. Yes so I'm not living as wholesomely as I have knowledge of lives that do live more wholesomely than I..

But Priorities first....

Yes, my past might be filled with bloodshedding and might not be so pretty and priestly but I'm being given opportunity to have a new outlook/perspective in my very own life. So yes,... Priorities first.

To Whom, to what, to Which, should I place numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, etc next to and why?

Priorities first.

It's somewhat easy to see how placing number 1 next to 'wife' would be plausible IF a 'wife' was possessed... right? And it's somewhat easy to see how placing number 1 next to 'being a good wife' would be plausible IF a 'wife' a woman was, right?
