So pretty much everyone knows, even if they are not saying, that the Democrats are going to get the beating of their lives come next election day. Obama's approval ratings are so low you need an oil rig to find them. If you could find an oil rig that was working. Congress' are lower than that. We have had 3 years of total Democratic control on top of 2 years of Dem Congressional control. The result has been near total disaster for the economy, as well as overseas policy.
So after these clowns are voted out, what will the Democratic Party do? Will do the decent thing and find a more centrist leader, like Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller? Will they decide they weren't leftist enough and merge with the Communist Party USA? Or will they fade away like the Whigs and leave the GOP to duke it out with the Tea Party on the right and the Greens on the Left?

When I read the Lib posters at USMB I think of Hitler in the bunker, another Progressive who gambled big and lost everything

The answer to the question is...............hopefully all of the leftists will do the rest of us a favor and decide to drink some Jim Jones Kool-Aid.

I'm volunteering at a Suicide Prevention Hotline and being totally apathetic and say "Yeah, maybe you're right, Obama lost and life's just not worth living"

They will be Celebrating if we get ahead of ourselves and start Counting the Chicken to soon. Don't Under Estimate Obama the Candidate, and his massive Amount of money he has to spend. Don't Under Estimate the Power of all the Stimulus money he has been able to Reward supporters with, and Finally don't forget he has a lot of Friends in the Media. People who Never Watch FOX, or dig for a View other than Msnbc and the Rest of the Liberal Media is peddling, Think Obama is still the best thing ever, and it's Republicans that are still to blame for everything.

As the Liberals on this Board repeat over and over.

"The Rabbi," "CrusaderFrank," "TruthSeeker56" and their conservative friends must be all loosing sleep, hoping against hope that the economy and the lives of millions of Americans don't improve before November 6th, 2012!

I'd rather just wait till we win the election to find out. No point getting cocky, assuming its in the bag and speculating when its not.

The "bad news" is that Romney is the one Republican candidate capable of appealing to America's "political center," and challenging Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election.

The "good news" is that no candidate can win the GOP nomination without the support of The Tea Party - which means the Republicans will be "saddled" with a nominee positioned too far to the "right" to contest the "political center."

The same thing the republicans have been doing. Blame everyithing on the other party.

Of course, we must first be assured of a Republican landslide. My gut feeling is that nothing will change. Obama will be re-elected, the Senate will remain Dem, and the House will remain Republican, but the Dems will gain seats in the House.

With the majority of Americans supporting an increase in taxes, Republicans who run on cutting taxes are going to have a hard sell. Maybe they will be successful, but not if the Dems do a good job of stating their agenda and comparing it to the failed Republican agenda of more and more tax cuts that have not worked in the last few years.

Better yet - after November 2012 what will the Repubs do? Agree the Dems have done NOTHING - but the Repubs certainly don't have any record of accomplishments to fall back on either.

This country may not have been ready for an African-American President, but it is even less likely to favor Romney because of his religion. While choice of religion should play no role in who is chosen to be President, everyone knows it does.

And added to this is the fact that Americans, including the Tea Party, are totally fed up with do-nothing-except-for-ourselves politicians regardless of Party. I know I am sick of the entire lot. They all should be turned out and their many lucrative percs reduced to match the rest of the country's.
