"The Obama administration struck a delicate balance on executive pay Thursday, blaming flawed compensation packages for encouraging disastrous risk-taking but insisting it doesn't want to dictate how corporations reward their top people...

"I can say with certainty that nobody in the Obama administration is proposing such a thing," he said.

"Yet, at the same time, he and officials with the Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission laid out a case for how payment structures rewarded short-term gains at the expense of long-term performance and contributed to the nation's financial crisis."

Tell me Obama isn't doing exactly what Chavez is doing in Venezuela...

Chavez targets and seizes companies that make a profit....

So basically you are saying executives are incapable of producing long term growth.

Absolutely ridiculous. Obama doesn't have the authority or the intelligence to decide what executives should make. Only the market should make those decisions.

pauly want a cracker?

We own 51% of those companies so he does have the authority. Just like people didn't like those AIG exec's getting those bonus'.

He doesn't have the authority to have "bought" those companies either, and no I didn't support the bailouts of the banks as you already know. If we had let them go under they couldn't have gotten their bonus' could they?

At any rate, one unconstitutional act doesn't allow for another unconstitutional act. I suggest you read the Constitution, sealy.

By what Constitutional right does the government own any part of these private businesses?

This is nothing but an illegal power grab. Period.

It should also be pointed out that it's not just companies that got bailed out by the government that they are trying to force this on, but all publicly traded companies.

Obama isn't doing what Chavez is doing. He is only buying companies with miserable loses.

Good thing he's not a socialist, too. Hell, he's not even a liberal...he says.

Hugo Chavez is clapping his hands with glee seeing that the Obama adminstration is doing/has done in six months what it took Chavez 10 years to do.

Is Obama going to cap the politicians pay at $75,000 every year there is a deficit ?

If not, then he's a hypocrite and should stfu, the governments losses makes the "miserable losses" of these companies look like chump change .......
