Could someone tell me what 'acting black' is, and why if you don't you are a race traitor. Every thread praising a black conservative gets drowned in sea of 'coon' , 'uncle tom', and 'sellout' comments. What in the heck is all that about? Everyone has to go to work, take care of their families, ect. It is the same for everyone, so what special rules are their for being black? How does conservatism make all black conservatives traitors?

I would suggest asking IM2 and MarkAtl directly. Evidently they speak for all blacks and can find racism everywhere except their own mirror.

It’s to promote the negative part of a culture, if you praise it they will act it out. Causing them hardship. Easier to control people in a bad situation

When a racist black person has absolutely nothing at all to offer the world and realizes they are inferior individuals, their insecurity over it is manifested by wanting to pull down all other black people so they are inferior too. Any black person who is not racist and resentful is then called out in an attempt to shame them into renouncing all the traits that make them successful.

A black democrat is some one promoting racisim ,, you support your own oppression

Peace.

"racist" isnt a descriptive word. its a pejorative word. its the equivalent of saying: "i dont like you"

the opposite of racist is not not racist. its anti-racist. pick a side. we're at war. WAAAAAAAAAAR!

There was an animated TV show called “The Boondocks”, about a black grandfather who was charged to take care of his 2 grandchildren. One of the characters in the show was a blue-collar black man named Uncle Ruckus. Uncle Ruckus held white supremacist views and despised everything about being black. In fact, he disliked being black so much, that he claimed to be Caucasian. Uncle Ruckus is an example of a person with internalized racism. Internalized racism is defined as the "internalization of racial oppression by the racially subordinated." In a study named “The Psychology of Racism”, Robin Nicole Johnson points out that internalized racism entails both "conscious and unconscious acceptance of a racial hierarchy in which whites are consistently ranked above people of color." People who suffer from internalized racism believe negative stereotypes of their own race. They will adopt white standards and thinking. Doing these things mentally lets them deny that racism exists.

Internalized racism reinforces racism. Internalized racism keeps racism alive. It creates a justification for racism. This acceptance of white supremacy as the norm leads to conclusions that racism is not a problem, or that it does not exist. As this happens, people in racially oppressed groups internalize the validity of their own oppression. Because they have done so, they find no reason to question or fight the system. Internalized racism is a divide and conquer tactic used to create conflicts within and between racially subordinate groups to suppress all attempts at a united effort to combat racism.

These types will argue how racism would be no problem if blacks had fewer fatherless children, or that drug use and how a violent criminal culture exist in these communities but can never explain why unless they recite a white centered explanation that comes from a place with no practical understanding of what it is to be black in America. They refuse to argue the implications of racist policies and the damage these policies have created because to do so will not be acceptable in the social circles they desire approval from. This explains a number of blacks who have been allowed into the national discourse on race who are primarily conservatives. These are people who have achieved great success and can make real changes relative to erasing the stain of white racism from this system. But they do not.

These individuals are only accepted by certain groups in the dominant culture because their views can be used to validate white racism. These people are doing far more harm than good to both the black community and to general society. This is the reason why allowing such individuals prominence is so distasteful. They are conferred that status by the dominant culture for it’s own purposes.

Why are whites here so quick to defend black conservatives while at the same time denigrating all other black people?

So what in the heck is 'acting white'. Like I said, everybody has to go to work and take of the family. It is the same for everyone. You get to a certain age, you don't give a shit about approval from anyone. A paycheck is a paycheck, and the wife still wants you to do the honeydo list. Don't you think it is a stretch to say that an idea like conservatism has anything to do with skin color? It is an idea, not an oppressor. Whatever special circumstances you ascribe yourself, people still need to eat, and the kids still need a ride to practice. Nothing to do with color. Just because racism exists does not mean minorities aren't allowed to believe something. That is not acting white. I think you are confusing political ideas with social circles. An idea doesn't care what color you are. Attacking people for an idea and then saying it is because of skin color is not rational behavior.

They will adopt white standards and thinking.

What are white standards and thinking?

Is it a preference for Mac and Cheese and watching 'Friends'?

I never liked 'Friends.' All the guys seemed gay. If their characters were gay, great, but they were playing straight dudes. It was like three metrosexual Homer Simpsons.

You didn't like 'Friends'?! Race traitor!

I was trying to think of white behavior, and I failed. My first thought was football and chicken wings, but that is most guys, and I ventured into the dangerous world of the female mind, and came up with wine, wine coolers, and the 'Bachelor'
