  • President Biden is calling for a national partnership with states to offer free, high-quality, accessible, and inclusive preschool to all three-and four-year-olds, benefitting five million children and saving the average family $13,000, when fully implemented. This historic $200 billion investment in America’s future will first prioritize high-need areas and enable communities and families to choose the settings that work best for them. The President’s plan will also ensure that all publicly-funded preschool is high-quality, with low student-to-teacher ratios, high-quality and developmentally appropriate curriculum, and supportive classroom environments that are inclusive for all students. The President’s plan will leverage investments in tuition-free community college and teacher scholarships to support those who wish to earn a bachelor’s degree or another credential that supports their work as an educator, or to become an early childhood educator. And, educators will receive job-embedded coaching, professional development, and wages that reflect the importance of their work. All employees in participating pre-K programs and Head Start will earn at least $15 per hour, and those with comparable qualifications will receive compensation commensurate with that of kindergarten teachers. These investments will give American children a head start and pave the way for the best-educated generation in U.S. history.
OK. Let's say that a given school district has 250 kids in each grade, for a total enrollment of 3,250, K-12. The Progs in Washington "give" the school district funding for two additional classes (500 pre-schoolers). Does that include teachers and teacher's aids for 12 students per class? Where are the additional classrooms going to come from? How are those rug-rats going to get to school and back home? Can they just be dumped onto conventional school buses? Those buses will HAVE to have at least one child care worker in addition to the driver. Will they be FED at school, and who's going to pay for that? Can they eat in the same cafeteria as the older kids...(Hint: NO!).

Is it reasonable to take into consideration the total failure of Operation Head Start, the benefits of which are unquantifiable after 50 years of analysis?

this is a dumb idea, on steroids, based on nothing more than Democrats' desire to get even more years of socialist indoctrination for public school kids.

Radical leftists are investing in the future of their psychotic ideology. They are planning ahead, far ahead—playing the long game, planting seeds of evil. American conservatives, on the other hand, can't strategize tomorrow's coffee run to save their own asses. Herein lies the fatal difference between America's two major political ideologies: one plays for keeps and anticipates enemy strategy decades out while the other cringes away from confrontation. American conservatives are and shall continue to be losers of all major cultural and philosophical battles.

You went to a public school with 12 students per class. I never saw that in Kentucky or Tennessee. Did he mention 12 kids per class in something you did not cut and paste?

I can remember when people used to bitch cause they wanted kids to get an education and not work.

Remember when they had the grade schoolers chanting the praises of that dog-eating muzzie faggot?

Well, this is even worse, if that's possible...

They have Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. You really think that was after decades and decades of careful planning? Really?

I'm dead sick of this "4 dimensional chess" argument. No. They're not that smart. Why we give them credit they don't deserve is beyond me

For instance: this program. It is a preschool program. Conservatives: ooooh, evil planning ahead! They win everything! In reality: a bunch of high school graduates doling out subpar care in dilapidated buildings to disadvantaged preschoolers. The caregivers do not care one whit about "indoctrinating" the preschoolers with Leftist ideology. They will keep them from bodily injuring each other if we're lucky and dole out stale animal crackers. That's it.

C'mon, conservatives. Do better than this.

We lose because we're Eeyores. That's why. We see one video in one place and we throw up our hands and dopey-dope about it for decades.

I don't know what it is about conservatives, I don't know if it's collective low T or what. But I have never seen a bigger bunch of whiny Eeyore whiners in my life who ascribe to their stupid, insipid opponents qualities they obviously do not have.

Were we back in the 1770s there would be no America. "Ah what they Hell, they're England. They always win. They're always gonna win. No use fighting them."

We'd be Colonies forever.
