A through line is emerging from 1/6 hearings testimony

The key finding of the committee is simple

Trump LIED

We always knew he lied but didn’t know that he was repeatedly told the truth………there was no election fraud

He was also told that Mike Pence could not legally stop the certification…….He chose to continue the lie

The process involving Pence was supposed to stop voter fraud. Pence let the fraudulent votes be counted.

The hearings are a partisan effort to unfairly besmirch the entire
GOP. But that doesn’t mean Trump’s actions weren’t a disgrace. He
lied repeatedly about an election he’d clearly lost, riled up gullible supporters to march on DC, and dawdled instead of sending help after they turned violent. The person who owns Jan.6 is Donald Trump, and he’s still duping his followers

If there had been more of this....................
...................before 1/6 perhaps the whole thing could have been avoided.

President Trump is facing a test to his presidency unlike any faced by a modern American leader.
It’s not just that the special counsel looms large. Or that the country is bitterly divided over Mr. Trump’s leadership. Or even that his party might well lose the House to an opposition hellbent on his downfall.

The dilemma — which he does not fully grasp — is that many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.
I would know. I am one of them.
To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.
But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.
That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office.

It's safe to say the attempted coup was a misguided impulse.

She would have to prove Republicans were trying to pull dirty election tricks. That just doesn't happen.

Easy enough

Kamala just has to claim the vote was suppressed in Texas and Florida and throw out their votes

She has that power doesn’t she?
