I see we have someone who doesn't understand end of life care.

The bigger problem we have is there are way too many people who want the Federal government to have power over end of life care. Personally, Im not suicidal.

Truth is the worst enemy of the left

For example, that poor woman Papa Obama put in trying to sell his risky and unpopular health care

Major Kong :

Canfield, who had breast cancer 16 years ago…”

Lets see, if my rudimentary math skills don’t fail me, that would mean she was diagnosed at age 34. How fortunate for her that the current American Cancer Society recommendations for regular mammographies only after age 50 weren’t in effect then.

Just think if the PapaObama Care was in effect and took their advice in the review boards- she would be dead

Go work in a nursing home, you will see that there is a problem with doctors prescribing treatment to medicare patients that they don't need. When I worked in memory care I saw two women die a week after getting hip replacement, and another women recieve chemo for cancer when she had end stage dementia. And they are not death panels, they are usually called " care" meetings, and doctors already have them with patients without being paid for it. Also in the meeting they are not telling patient or the family what they most do, but giving them their opinion. Many children cannot except that their parent is dying, and think they are doing the right thing. When reality they are making the end of their life more painful.

So the State should make that decision?

So this somehow justifies giving power to government to do the same exact thing?

The problem isn't with the health care system. The problem is with dishonest people.

The Left acts as if Eugenicist Ezekiel Emanuel's "Complete Lives System" won't apply to them or their families.

As useful idiots go, this makes them really useful

NO they shouldn't, but I do not think a doctor or a care provider should be compensated for having "care" meetings. Which is what was in the bill.
And I also think doctors should be held liable when performing a hip replacement on someone with end stage dementia and heart failure.

Did I say that?
All that was in the bill, was for doctors to be compensated for end of life counceling and having care meetings, something they do anyways.

Let's take your silly, biased, unproven scenario to the nth degree....What is the alternative?

Death and decisions about death are, of course, inevitable. But, better for those choices to be by the individual and their doctors- not the state.

Some places to start for real changes that Papa Obama care does not:

don't penalize suicide
Tort reform
Allow competition across state lines
Allow more market forces

The left claims that socialized medicine will be fair and equal- very doubtful
Does anyone believe that the President and politicians are going to have the same level of care as the masses ?

We only need to look at how school vouchers are denied for poor children while the President sends his kids to private school to see that will not happen.

Socialism does not make it better; it only spreads misery equally, except for the "inner party " members. The proletariat has no way to improve their situation

At least with a free market, one has the opportunity to improves one's "lot in life"
