A new (boring) beheading has occured

There is a reason they call it chop-chop square.

But, all of this doo gooder shit is suspect because not once as anyone given a damn. So, the deal is to just get rid of the powers that be in Saudi Arabia?

That's an interesting story, and it should make people realize that the freedom of religion we have here in this country is something that much of the world may never have.

It is a shame that Muslims, don't have enough faith, to be able to handle people badmouthing or putting down their religion. It's a shame some other people of faith (all faiths) have the same failings.

I have thought for a long time that the Muslim religion is inherently evil, and this story only confirms my beliefs.

Yet, it is a peaceful religion which some have chosen to dishonestly represent. Right...

Then there's the laws against women driving a car, the laws against flying a kite, the laws against listening to the radio, the religious police to enforce all these laws, it's a wretched religion even if you take away all the terrorism and judge it on the rest.

Here's a story from 2002:

Saudi police 'stopped' fire rescue

The Mecca city governor visited the fire-damaged school

Saudi Arabia's religious police stopped schoolgirls from leaving a blazing building because they were not wearing correct Islamic dress, according to Saudi newspapers.

In a rare criticism of the kingdom's powerful "mutaween" police, the Saudi media has accused them of hindering attempts to save 15 girls who died in the fire on Monday.

About 800 pupils were inside the school in the holy city of Mecca when the tragedy occurred.

15 girls died in the blaze and more than 50 others were injured

According to the al-Eqtisadiah daily, firemen confronted police after they tried to keep the girls inside because they were not wearing the headscarves and abayas (black robes) required by the kingdom's strict interpretation of Islam.

One witness said he saw three policemen "beating young girls to prevent them from leaving the school because they were not wearing the abaya".

The Saudi Gazette quoted witnesses as saying that the police - known as the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice - had stopped men who tried to help the girls and warned "it is a sinful to approach them".

The father of one of the dead girls said that the school watchman even refused to open the gates to let the girls out.

"Lives could have been saved had they not been stopped by members of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice," the newspaper concluded.

Relatives' anger

Families of the victims have been incensed over the deaths.

Most of the victims were crushed in a stampede as they tried to flee the blaze.

The school was locked at the time of the fire - a usual practice to ensure full segregation of the sexes.

The religious police are widely feared in Saudi Arabia. They roam the streets enforcing dress codes and sex segregation, and ensuring prayers are performed on time.

Those who refuse to obey their orders are often beaten and sometimes put in jail.

Sad, really sad.

And some with a lack of faith...

Well, let's see, have you ever failed to follow any laws here, if so let's walk you to the public square and lob your head off.
The guy knew the rules and chose to violate them.

I fail to see the problem? ..... :dunno:

The guy knowingly broke a very serious law which made him a criminal and subject to punishment.

Why should anyone feel sorry for him? .....
Perhaps because in this country, we have something called Freedom of Religion, and Separation of Church and State, which allows us to look down our noses at such medievalism?

The incident took place in a foreign country with an ancient culture and moral code.

But upstart American people who in reality don't even have a culture and no moral's like to think they are superior.

What a freakin joke you are. .....

If you're trying to make Islam look like a totally fucked up religion, you are certainly succeeding!!!
