A little different thanks giving meal

Same here: A whole chicken cooked like a Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, and home-made cranberry sauce. And pumpkin pie. The wife has diabetes and high blood pressure, so it was all low salt, low sugar.

Me, I put salt, sugar, and Tabasco sauce all over everything. :laughing0301:

No turkey. Two chickens cooked like turkey with dressing. It was really good. along with what we have most years. Collards ,turnip greens ,baked ham and all the fixins. Most of the family was fishing most of the day. Hope all had a fine holiday.
It sounds like you had a fine meal. My sister made homemade meatloaf for the two of us for a change of pace. With mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce on the side. No green veggies because I had had a salad and asparagus earlier in the day. Our little dinner was MIGHTY tasty.:)

as long as you could be with people you love and enjoyed a meal and remembered to be thankful you had a good thanks giving ! and always be mindful of those who are less fortunate ...
