I was checking out a media report the other day, a reporter on TV contrasting to his hourly host covering Trump compared to Biden. It was very interesting.
COVERING BIDEN:
COVERING BIDEN:
- The discussion began with Mondays. For the media, Monday was an empty news day, so they mostly used it to look ahead at future upcoming events.
- Weekends were dead. Nothing happened at the WH on a weekend.
- News lids under Biden ended between Noon and 2PM. After that, the press were free to go do other stuff.
- There is no day off. Stuff is happening 7 days a week, sometime multiple times a day. They run from event to event.
- Mondays is a busy news day because big stories have been happening all weekend. Good stuff. Big stuff.
- News lids don't close until about 7PM.
- Press coverage has tons of new faces, people from all over the world. The media are competing for both room and to beat the other to the stories!
