Here's what happened.

AT&T and Verizon turned on their national 5G networks this week (most of that "5G" signal you've been previously getting is not true 5G), activating 4,500 new towers. The FAA had to request they pause around key airports because they hadn't reviewed the publicly-available data (or informed airlines about the data) discussing how the signal might affect the radar altimeters of Boeing 777s and 787s due to similar frequencies being used.

I've had enough flying to last me a life time ...
I'm old enough to remember if the pilot wasn't drunk enough to fly don't get on the plane

Today I'd only fly to Siberia...to be free

I don't have a link or source......but from what I understand, Obama sold the frequencies to the cell carriers and will force airlines to upgrade their equipment (altimeters). Problem is airlines are struggling financially already and may not be able to afford to upgrade

I have no clue if any of that is true, but it's what I've heard.
