If the Jewish people, in your opinion only, possessed the power to "not allow themselves to become victims" then why didn't they stay in their own country and use that 'power' to resist and defeat Hitler?

Huh? Resist? OK. But DEFEAT? You want to rethink that?

And those Euro countries they lived in -- were the ones that TURNED AGAINST them and "all other minorities and less superior people" in their midst. We didn't HAVE a country left to SAVE.

It IS a problem for them IM2 I would guess because society has traditionally tasked all of them with shutting down anything that threatens the traditional WS status quo. And supporting and backing one another is how they've managed to maintain that wall of exclusion, silence and denial.

Not naming any names but it's astonishing to see a white person turn red in the face because they are that infuriated at another white person because they broke code and contradicted the lie that everyone else crafted to offer as their cover story to keep from having to face any consequences of their racist, bigoted and sometimes even sexist acts. When it finally comes crashing down on them, usually so much damage has already occurred and the victim has been so traumatized that they just want out, The victory that should be celebrated is oftentimes denied due to the ongoing retaliation and refusal to let the victim move on.

This is not calling someone the 'n' word, this is a systematic method of destroying the lives of those who oppose them and dare question or expose them for the unlawful acts they commit.

We are not talking about hurt feelings due to being called names, we, or at least I, am talking about the destruction wrought by people who have the same mentality as the members of the white mob who burned down the Black Wall Street in Tulsa Oklahoma out of envy and outrage because they were denied the opportunity to lynch someone ALLEGEDLY. They probably had a plan to burn it down anyway as part of the celebration had they gotten their hands on the young man they were after. All 3,000 of them escaped punishment for the destruction and death they caused of several hundred black people and their businesses.
You have hit the nail on the head. Well said.

I had no idea when I was a teenager that it was not normal to have the police pointing shotguns at you and demanding that you exit the car with your hands up when they allegedly were looking for Hispanic individuals in a vehicle whose description matched the one in which I was a passenger.

If the car matches a hot current homicide somewhere -- that might happen. Go live in a lower crime area. I got forced to ground carrying a 10 lb bag of chopped basil that I prepped at home for a restaurant I worked for downtown. Had to walk a couple blocks with it. We had a good laugh. Cops got a free meal.

Agree. That would be if I said to blacks, “why didn’t y’all just refuse to be slaves in the first place?” It’s an insulting question.

Some help the socialist narrative continue while pretending to be conservative.

No accusation.

Ignoring all you anger and accusations of racism, your post here is simply counterfactual.

Unless you are quite elderly, you have lived your entire life enjoying the privilege that you have been offered via affirmative action.

Jewish people and Asians are the most hurt by it.

AGAIN -- purpose of civil discussion is to STAY on the issue. NOT personal accusations/conflict. NewsVine_Mariyam Dont risk getting the IMPORTANT deleted as an entire post.

Affirmative Action is not the reason for my successes, it's bloodlines, on both sides of my family. My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman who proved his abilities a full 20+ years BEFORE the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which created affirmative action.

Yet white racism denied employment with the airlines to them for almost 20 years after they exited the military at the end of their service when WWII ended.

There was never any doubt that I would be successful, only if I would follow in his footsteps. Affirmative Action doesn't get you up out of bed each morning to get to work on time, it doesn't require you to stay up late at night studying to improve your circumstances, it doesn't pay you a stipend to help with your support while doing all of these things but it does provide people, including white women, with opportunities that they were previously excluded from. Opportunities that allow them through their subsequent own hard work, to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

The “tearing down” wasn’t about help. It was that you had to tear down Jews by finding some obscure article by a college intern saying that American Jews found newly arriving Jews ignorant and dirty.
You completely miss the point in your knee jerk defense of anything Jewish. You constantly hold up Jews as a model minority that succeeded despite persecution and use that to bludgeon blacks and then you get infuriated when it is pointed out that they are just as fallible, class conscious, ethnically biased as any other group of people including blacks, including whites. They can be just as ethnically biased.

And even as an entire group, did they succeed? Some did. But like many other immigrant waves that formed the backbone of sweatshop labor, tenement life abusive poverty, many East European Jews did not. They were born in, lived in and died in poverty, from disease, toxic industrial conditions or violence. Mothers worried about their kids joining street gangs. Eventually they were replaced by another group who endured the same conditions. Which kind of shows hard work alone is not enough.

You keep holding them on a pedestal but like the rest of us they are fallible.

To that, I pointed out that American Jews set up ulpans to help the new arrivals learn English, helped them find jobs, helped them find homes, and so forth.
Yes. Eventually.

Then Newvine jumped in and said “see? Jews had assistance!” Well….DUH. The Jews banded together to help one another. THAT is what she calls ”assistance”? So why didn’t blacks do that? They could have formed groups - and I suppose they did - to help each other.

Why do you think blacks DIDN’T do that?

The point is….Jews helped one another and didn’t blame antisemitism. Yet we still have blacks today, after generations of favoritism, going back and blaming whitey. Enough is enough. Time they took advantage of the opportunities being given them, all the assistance available, and stop blaming whites for all their troubles.

Umhh…I see you blaming anti-semitism for things. Pulling the victim card. And I have seen people here, who are black and successful professionals acknowledging the problems racism has posed in their lives both professionally and privately. They clearly took advantage of opportunities, education, in fact several have said they came from families who likewise valued education, and they lived part of their lives under Jim Crowe. So clearly, they have earned the right complain by your standards.

OK THEN. Last 2 pages ENTIRELY too snippy, Something you'd EXPECT when 2 groups formally considered as "inferior to others" sit down to trade stories of persecution, bias, and hate. Think MAYBE there'll be sequel, but it cannot be titled "WE suffered and YOU Did Not"...

You wouldn't know a fact if it slapped you across your face.

But it is kind of funny that last week I was having to warn Lisa about fcking with my professional reputation and now this week she has a whole slew of co-conspirators.

I didn't think you all wanted to play this game.

Affirmative Action is not the reason for my successes, it's bloodlines, on both sides of my family. My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman who proved his abilities a full 20+ years BEFORE the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which created affirmative action.

I never said a thing about your professional reputation. And you don’t have to “warn” me about anything. You just reamed someone out for not speaking with the obsequious tone you feel it necessary when a white addresses a black, and now you’re talking about “warning“ me?

I will point out that upthread you quoted a lot of posts from a lot of white racists. You didn’t quote me, however, even though you’ve been on my case for weeks. And that’s because I’ve said nothing racist, and you know it. You just twist things around in order to attack me, and this definitely has to do with the fact that I’m a Jew.

The entire point of the thread was to make Jews look bad, and it’s due to resentment of a persecuted minority who succeeded well above average.

Why do some white people think they get to dictate to black people how we spend our time and on what. Or how long we should take to accomplish things. Or what we should be doing differently?

Why do some white people demand that a black person "get out of my neighborhood"? Why do other white people who are not law enforcement demand that someone they see jogging through their neighborhood, stop and talk to them and obey their instruction to get on the ground?

I could go on but there is no guarantee that any of this will ever penetrate whatever surrounds the brains of certain people that prevents enlightenment from getting through.

If you don't get the reference you don't get it, no loss since as they say "you can't do hurt no harm".
The Ahmaud Arbery case makes several points that I wish Lisa would understand.

A black man, jogging in an white suburban neighborhood, can not consider himself to be safe.

That a group of white unauthorized citizens can run him off the road, demand he, a private citizen engaging in his rights, stop at gun point and obey their orders.

That, he alone was singled out, of all the people caught on video wandering through, as a ”thug” and pursued.

That there was a concerted cover up by law enforcement.

That this would not happen to a Jewish person In that neighborhood.

Speaks volumes.
