A Beautiful Day At The Ballpark

Perfect weather for taking in a game at Fenway. After a disappointing loss the night before, the Fenway Faithful had high hopes for some payback against our most hated rival. A large, upbeat crowd filled the stadium and settled in for the game. Things grew increasingly quiet as Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German threw an amazing game, holding the home town team hitless through seven innings. The few Yankees fans in attendance were gleeful and gloating going into the eight inning but Alex Verdugo broke up the no-hitter and sparked an epic comeback win for the Red Sox. It is hard to explain the joy and celebration in the stadium as the final out was made in the top of the ninth. The crowd spilled out of the stadium and into the many bars and restaurants just outside the National Cathedral. A spirit of celebration carried on into the evening.
