70's or older Country music

I like old music my favorite era is the 1970's. But I am burned out on the rock and disco. I want to add some really good country music to my mp3 playlist but older not new stuff can anyone help me out. I know Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, is there some I may not have listened to that are pretty good? I have been looking up old hee haw episodes on you tube

This song is from an album that was classified when it was released in 1965 as a pop album, but to me, the song couldn't be anymore country sounding, which has left me to wonder what would have happened if the late beautiful precious had been placed in the country field from the very beginning. Would there have been more success on his plate then?
