For instance they claim that it narrows down early voting to ten days, when in fact that's a lie. It expands early voting to 20 days; ten days more than the New Jersey standards that they have.

They also explain that the entire bill was written with no race in mind and no negatives. It's a bill that applies to all equally. But since you claim to know so much about it, why don't you tell us what part of this legislation is racist? How does one standard for all apply to blacks unequally?

Democrat polling places are operated by the voting commission of a county. It's they who decide how many voting locations to open, how many machines and voting tables at those locations, and how many workers are to be present. In Democrat areas, that means it's mostly or entirely ran by Democrats--not Republicans.

WTF do you need drop boxes anyway? We don't have any here in my state, and just a few short years ago neither did GA. How many boxes do you need for crying out loud? Dropping a ballot into a box takes as much time as dropping a letter in a mailbox. You never see any lines at a mailbox, do you? I don't know any counties in GA, and I never even been to the state, but from what I read, ballot drop off boxes are decided by population, not race.

Absentee ballots will be shortened to four weeks. If you can't get your ballot in the mail and delivered in four weeks, then you're plain mentally retarded, or voting is not that important to you in the first place. It's not four weeks to just black areas, so I have no idea how that can be considered race related. Whites use absentee ballots just like blacks do.

Nothing in the law stops people from offering voters water, as if people are too stupid to bring their own. But you can't offer water to voters with your candidates sticker on it, or a verbal promise you will vote for them. That's illegal in most every state. It's referred to as vote buying.

But since it had other provisions that had nothing at all to do with Voter ID, and everything to do with suppressing the vote of minorities, your article is not worth wiping your ass with. So what are the provisions that target minorities but somehow do not affect white people ?

Well first, it changes control of elections from counties, to a state board. That board is appointed by the legislature, which has been under Republican control for almost twenty years. So a Republican legislature appoints a five member board and that five member board can fire an entire county's election board and replace them with a member that board hand picks. I mean wow. The way you Republican's piss and moan about HR 1, imagine it done at the state level, at a greater degree. Think about it, the House can appoint members to a five member board that can suspend, and replace, a state board of elections. That work for you?

It makes drop boxes for absentee ballots permanent, previously they were related to the Coronavirus. But it limits them, one per 100,000 residents, or one for each early voting site. Of course the smaller number of those two takes precedent. Fulton county will go from 38 drop boxes to eight. Whitfield county, Marjorie Greene district, gets one but has less than one tenth the residents. Oh no, nothing racist going on here.

Sunday early voting is optional. But you should get the picture here. Fulton county election board decides that early voting is going to be open on every Sunday you can bet your sweet ass the state election board is going to step in. Absentee ballots are severely restricted. Going from being mailed out at 49 days to 29 days. And show up at the wrong precinct but in the right county, well better hope it is after five or you cannot cast a provisional ballot, and then only if you sign a sworn affidavit that you can't make it to the right precinct.

There are numerous other restrictions, and almost all of them fall disproportionally on blacks, BY FLIPPIN DESIGN. The bill is the closest thing we have seen to a return to the Black Codes in almost a century. It is disgraceful And notice, I didn't mention a single thing about voter ID. You stupid ass Trumpbots that get your news from right wing sources that feed you only what you want to hear are a bigger danger to this country than a whole damn passel of terrorists located in the Middle East.

That's not what this is really about.

Why does the left "really" object to Voter-ID? The answer is interested participants.

We on the right will crawl over an ant hill naked covered in maple syrup to get to the polls. The left are basically the welfare type. Yeah, they'll vote, but only if it's convenient enough: multiple day or multiple week voting, rides to the polls, no lines, late night voting, vote from home.......

The problem with that is when you make it easy on such people, you draw in a lot of politically ignorant or stupid voters, and politically ignorant and stupid voters vote Democrat. Democrat sounds like democracy, and democracy is a good thing, right? Besides, Republicans are only for the rich people and I'm far from rich!!!!!

Getting a voter-ID is fairly easy, but you still have to put in some effort; effort some potential Democrat voters won't give. That's the real reason Republicans want ID and Democrats don't. But Democrats can't tell people the real reason they are against Voter-ID, so they pull out the race card instead, and the sheep buy it like cupcakes for 2 cents a piece.
