7 States Sue Biden Over Loan Forgiveness Plan

Why would they do that?

No one has ever argued that what they were growing they did not profit off it. You have to post factual information to make a valid point.

But even then...........what you are arguing is for the right of a business to blackmail the taxpayers into giving them their money or something bad will happen.

We can argue the merits, or lack thereof, the trade war with China, but Trump made the choice to help the farmers affected by that policy. Without such assistance, we very well may have had some serious issues.

The farmers didn’t say they wouldn’t grow food out of spite or to get a bailout, what they said was they would no longer be able to do so. Quite a difference.

For the most part trade school is a tiny fraction of the cost of college. If a state wants to fund it, that's on the state.

As already noted, this is a Federal program. You can read (maybe) so you read where I and the article noted that.

But the federal government should not be funding anything related to college. Now I'm a retired truck driver of 30 years, and I've never met a person that got training from their state to drive. It's only a few thousand dollars for schooling.

Up to $5000 is available.

Farmer’s provide a life-sustaining service to our nation. We could all live without the sustenance provided by our local barista with a useless degree, which they willfully incurred debt to obtain.

You truly are too stupid to be one person. Farmers shouldn't NEED billions of dollars in assistance. Donald Trump destroyed their markets. Most of that money is going to corporate land owners, not "farmers".

The small family farmers are disappearing. They were driven into bankruptcy by Trump's trade and tariff war with China.

That's Capitalism?

Why? Did their lands get taken from them?

Yes, Independant farming is going away. Taken over by corporate interests that Trump gave billions to.

RECORD FARM BANKRUPTCIES IN EVERY YEAR TRUMP WAS IN OFFICE AFTER THE TRADE WAR STARTED. That was Trump's gift to the American Farmer.

Sweetheart Deal for Amazon Includes Tiny ‘Infrastructure Fund’ for City. It was going to cost the City of New York $9 billion to create the infrastructure investment needed to service Amazon.

I would ask you for a link, but we all know you are a lying sack of shit.

Always proving your ignorance, stupidity, and utter laziness. NOT THAT YOU EVER READ THEM

They will? What state is that? I never heard of that before.

That's what we are talking about here, bailing out one subset which are students that took loans. It's not going to benefit me. It's not going to benefit you. It's not going to benefit anybody except the people that took out these loans.

You want to bail them out? Fine with me, as long as they sign a contract with the federal government they can't charge over X amount of money for the services they went to college for. Where is the fairness of me funding a person to be a doctor, and when they finally become a doctor, charge me $250.00 for an office visit?
It could be $300 a visit, if they didn't??

What your article said is that the state got the money and they are the ones that implemented the programs. Nevertheless I'm still against that even though you are comparing apples to oranges. Again, a fraction of the cost, and the state was trying to train people for an alternate career when they lost their last job and never expected to return. The state was awarded 6 million bucks. College bailouts will cost us a half-trillion dollars or more.

Up to $5000 is available.

Of you can get on the job training for free. Some companies offer free training and CDL as long as you sign a one year contract with them.

They can charge whatever they like. But if I'm paying for their education, there should be a limit on what they charge.

When you pay for school yourself, it's an investment. You pay for their education when you use their services. What's being offered now is taxpayers pay for that education AND we also pay for the services they render.

Thanks Republicans. You’re taking money out of the pockets of struggling middle class folks

Maybe those "struggling middle class folks" should've spent their college loan money getting degrees which would afford them lucrative careers instead of getting degrees in bullshit endeavors like 16th century French poetry or creative writing.

No fucks given...

I know.... :(

But trust me, they will find a way to charge us more, so they make the same profit!

But honestly, if you have doctors and specialist doctors that you can go to, count your blessings, no matter the cost!

Around where I live, doctors and specialist physicians are RARE....very hard to come by!!!!

I'm very well taken care of by the best. Even though there is no hope for me, they are trying to keep me alive as long as they can. The one fortunate thing about living here is being able to be a patient at the world famous Cleveland Clinic. Their communications and food suck, but they have the best doctors, nurses and specialists around.

If you attend college for something in demand then you will make better money than non-college workers. That's what investments are all about. I don't see how anybody could justify government (taxpayers) funding those investments.

I wonder why "conservatives" always claim that all these loans went to obscure subjects.

Must cost a fortune. Paying out of pocket?

Having tax payers pick up the costs of your business = good thing.

Having tax payers pick up some of your higher education costs = bad thing.
There is a benefit to the taxpayers when a large business comes into town, Simp.

Tell me the benefit of taxpayers paying the debt of deadbeat college educated people who refuse to pay the loans they agreed to pay, other than the obvious benefit to the upper crust with college degrees.

If the city thought it was a net loss they wouldn't be making any offers.

One of our customers moved to another city. When we first started going there, the road was so bad you couldn't go 15 mph and you had to travel two miles to get there. At one point two vehicles couldn't pass each other because the road narrowed. Part of the deal was the city would rip out that road and replace it with a much nicer and wider one if the business moved there. Before you know it, other industries started popping up, so they had to get rid of the stop signs and put up stop lights. Today it's a major traveled road. They state even created an entrance and exit ramp from the highway.

In the end with all the tax money collected, the city benefited greatly, and there is still land there for even more expansion.
Pnutt doesn't have the cognitive ability to grasp such things.
