7 States Sue Biden Over Loan Forgiveness Plan

I seriously doubt most people oppose the student debt relief program

Again, you seriously doubt it because you're tone deaf. You expect us to believe that the 2/3rds of the population without a college degree are gleefully willing to pay for the 1/3rd who do, most of whom make more money than the 2/3rds who didn't go? You expect us to believe that the people who went to trade schools to earn skilled careers are happy to bail out Bachelor's and MBA holders who want to welch on their financial obligation for a four year party they attended while the trade schoolers were busting their butts? You expect us to believe the people who started up their own businesses, taking out their own loans which don't get forgiven whether they succeed or fail, risking their own personal finances are thrilled about bailing out people who willingly went to schools costing them $50k or more a year for a business degree?

You go right ahead and believe that.

You lied when you claimed Trump and Ryan racked up $7 trillion in debt. Document this $7 trillion they racked up between Jan 2017 and Jan 2019, which is when they were both in office.

Keep in mind the 2017 budget was Barry Hussein's.

GO!

I do not have to address things you just make up. But you know this already. Trump racked up $7.8 trillion in his four years.

Thanks Republicans. You’re taking money out of the pockets of struggling middle class folks

Really? How are they doing that exactly? Explain this (lack of ) logic of yours.

This ought to be quite an experience.

You are changing your story, liar.

I accept your admission you can't bring the numbers to back up your lies.

Dismissed, liar.

1. As to whether they agree with Biden's plan, that's up for debate and as I said, probably depends on the poll. This one from TheHill suggests 48% support, 43% oppose, and 9% probably don't know what college and loans are.

2. Even among those who oppose Biden's plan, that doesn't mean they want states to sue. I'm sure some do, but not all.

You want to pay for someone else's college education, fool?

It depends.

Someone who's levels of income relative to debt are balanced? Probably not. But someone who's in danger of bankruptcy because they paid $200,000 for an MBA and got slapped with interest and penalties? There ought to be a limit. They shouldn't be allowed to just walk away from debt but it shouldn't make them debt serfs for life, either.

There's a lot that's wrong with higher ed, education, and the financing that supports it, but I don't see how punishing someone financially helps me or you. If nothing else, let student loan deadbeats write it off in bankruptcy, which they can't do now.

Harvard University is a capitalist success story: A private university with the most sought after diploma in the world. A bastion of elitist white privilege and conservative values, and you call the Board "greedy little socialists". They have no obligation to give their students anything.

Isn't capitalism grand????
/——-/ So, you give the socialist elites at Harvard a pass on redistribution and paying their fair share.

Trump didn't rack up anything. Congress is who makes out the appropriation bills, and Trump presided half of his term with a Democrat Congress. Furthermore Dementia (so far) spent 4.8 trillion and he isn't at the half-way point of his term yet.

Why is it warranted? Why do you think working folks, and those who already paid their student loans should pay for the loans someone else agreed to pay?

Agree. My niece and nephew both paid off their loans about two years ago. Now they have to pay for the loans of other people that were not as responsible?
