Two weeks of Obama lying to the public and the public is still against the healthcare law?

Health Care Law - Rasmussen Reports

Looks like the Obama magic to lie to us is gone!

But break down those numbers and it gets worse:

Repeal is favored by 80% of Republicans and 57% of unaffiliated voters. Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Democrats oppose repeal.

Fifty-two percent (52%) now say that the health care law is bad for the country. That’s little changed from 50% a week ago. Forty percent (40%) believe it is good for the country.

Senior citizens are more negative about the new law than younger voters. By a 58% to 30% margin, seniors believe the law is bad for the country.

When 80 percent of one party and 57 percent of independents disagree with your position, YOU ARE TOAST.

Obama is ruling (not leading but RULING like a dictator) against the will of the people.

Remember this come election time.

Repealing parts of the Dem debacle is realistic but the Republicans will have to win the White House back for this to happen. Taking control of Congress will not be enough. The President can stop anything if he wants to. The Republicans have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to see repeal become a reality. 2010 could be a start though. Make 2010 count people.

And won't that be interesting. The dems will become the party of "NO."

Wonder how they'll deal with their own label?

When the Republicans win the house and senate, they can defund Obamacare and make it worthless. In 2012 a republican president will repeal Obamacare altogether.

I have a question . . .

If the h/c bill were to get repealed does it have to got through a House vote then a Senate vote or just a Senate vote? Since it was passed via reconciliation with only 51 votes would it be able to be repealed via a reconciliation vote?

Why not? If the dems can play by shady rules, so can the repubs.

Or why go through any of that? Just have the new republican President issue an Executive Order deeming the health care take over null and void, you know, use an obama tactic.

You have no idea.

The majority of independents oppose the bill. That doesn't bode well for the Dems in 2010 and 2012.

The fact that the Obama Administration is now spreading a narrative about it taking much longer for job creation to recover is another problem. Jobs are The Issue, which they are ignoring at their peril.

They, Obama and the Democrats aren't IGNORING jobs. They simple are too mired in socialist ideology to understand MORE socialism stifles jobs; they actually have faith that instead it will magically create jobs. And they claim the Republican Party is fundamentally religious. The dems just worship Marx instead of God.

three questions:

1. How many of those self proclaimed unafilliated are people who formerly identified themselves as republicans??

2.Is there a valid reason why rasmussen doesn't list the number of people polled from each category??

3. IF republicans gain back control of either house of congress will they follow the polls or will they go "against the will of the people?"

How about just following the limited rules granted to the government in accordance with our CONSTITUTION... instead of going on polls or in some attempt to expand their own power?

So who is going to do that?? The same republicans that get re-elected all the time by the right?? the same republicans who expanded government when they had complete control of all branches of the government while their supporters couldn't seem to have cared less back then??

It could happen. The Republicans will have to take the White House back first though. Stay tuned.

1) certainly not the big-government junkies, the DEMs...
2) I have not supported going beyond the Constitution, whether it is DEM, REP, or whatever other party
3) I will be looking for candidates running on such a platform and vote for those candidates...
4) If those candidates go against that stance, I will look for other candidates that will take their place and adhere to that stance

So you expect that republicans who are now arguing against expanding government when they expended it themselves when they were in power will some how change their ways IF they get voted back into the majority??

WOW, hey by the way, I have some ocean front property in AZ I can sell you REAL cheap. LOL

ok so how does that magically change the fact that republicans are talking about voting back in the same people who expanded government the last time they had the majority??

If the dems lose the majority, it is the republicans who will gain it back and the current party leaders will still be the leaders IF that happens so how does giving them back the power when they have shown that they can't be trusted change anything?? LOL

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much faith in Republicans repealing this law wholesale. They might tweak some parts if they return to power, but remember that mandated insurance and state-exchange were ideas they promoted just a few years ago.

Maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am, but politicians are politicians no matter the color, so I don't have much faith in this law getting flushed. :(
