$400 a week welfare by gov ..question

What kind of a manager are you when you refer to an employee as a "soon to be fired worm"? These are hard times and people have to do the best they can do by taking welfare and working off the books.

Let me ask this, is the $400 dollars being paid by federal as a subsidy attached on to the state paid $300 dollars unemployment benefits that are paid for by the state ??

So is it $300 + $400 = $700.00 total per week paid ????

You do understand we are in an economic crisis. Don't you?
Either the govt needs to shut it all down and get the virus down to a point where everything can reopen or they need to pay folks until this is over. The altetnative is hunger and homelessness on the GD scale.

Do you imagine there are alternate jobs for everyone unemployed?

2. $400 per week in additional UI benefits is equal to a $10 per hour raise, often exceeding a former employee's take-home pay. Why work for less money?

Why work for less money?

These are people unemployed by employers closing due to covid. It's not like they're just chillin'.
