Twenty-eight people were shot, seven fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.
Breitbart News reported 16 people were shot, five fatally, Friday into Sunday morning alone in the city. The first of those five fatalities occurred Friday at at 8:30 p.m. and the fifth occurred Sunday just before 4:30 a.m.
A seventh fatality took place about 6 p.m. Sunday “in the 11100-block of South Longwood Drive.” A 22-year-old inside a vehicle in a parking lot was shot to death in that incident.
Breitbart News reported 50 people were shot last weekend in Mayor Lighfoot’s Chicago, and five of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds.
Breitbart News reported 23 people were shot in on Monday, November 16, 2020, alone, and that Monday followed a weekend in which over 20 were shot, one fatally, in the city.
The mayor has previously sought to address the matter of increased gun violence in her city, however she chose to point to a host of extenuating circumstances as the cause.

It looks like accuracy is improving it seems. Failed Democrat leadership from a failed leader in Blue Plantation Cities. How long can she remain in office? How many will die in Chiraq? Will they soon be using IEDs?

If it is like around here (only to a much much smaller degree), almost nobody in the community saw anything. It is not who is in the Mayor's office, or democrat/republican. It is about who is in the community. Been getting worse for as long as I can remember, no matter who is in office locally or nationally. It is a cultural thing, like the following of "Sons of Anarchy" and the bad guys. Reminds me of psychological experiments on the over population of rats devolving into cannibalism.

Nope, liberal policies are the problem.

Maybe, but it seems more like some passed down cultural code "thou shalt not snitch to tha man", no matter what, but you can still wail and scream with your hands in the air for local news if little baby JoJo gets accidently shot in the back seat while you are scoring some dope or outside the car celebrating big JoJo Dababydaddy, getting out of county stir. Sadly enough, it probably goes all the way back to slave mentality. I don't know. People will probably call me a racist asshole for even guessing an opinion. Whatever the reason, nothing will change until the majority of the neighborhood refuses to put up with gang violence as just a "given" of day to day life, fight the mindset or move from the hood. When and if they ever get out, turn the page, forget the ties and never go back, no matter what.
