The problem with the OP's argument is that they're not the first team to cheat their way to postseason success, nor the last, and there's only so much revisionist history one can do. Bobby Thomson's Shot Heard Round the World that got the Giants to the WS was aided by a telescope planted beyond the outfield fence. Is MLB supposed to go back well after the fact and declare the Dodgers the true NL champs of that year? According to the OP's logic, that's exactly what has to happen.

You know what I hate about MLB? Detroit is basically a minor league farm house for the better teams. I can't even begin to name all the former Tigers who are now on better teams winning. If we would have kept that team together we would have eventually won for sure.

They're cheaters and not deserving of the trophy or their rings. Same deal with the 2018 Red Sox....you get caught you lose the title...just like in college sports and the Olympics. But instead the Commish tells us they lose their manager, GM, and draft picks? NO. For there to be any integrity in the game, a game with a long history of seeking an advantage, centerfield cameras and wireless buzzers attached to hitters signaling off-speed pitches, is too much. All the proof you need is here with Altuve...a great player who knew what he was getting himself into but didn't care. Lifetime ban for him and Bregman and any others a real investigation will expose. Need proof Altuve had a buzzer under his uniform?

You can pick pretty much pick any team in MLB and they've cheated.
