20% California EV Owners Going Back to Gasoline

Sunni Man is still making the same mistake. You cannot build a Tesla with 1890 technologies. It was ENABLED, first, by the development of lithium ion batteries in the early 1990s. It was further enabled by the development of barium titanate magnets, computers, carbon fiber composites and a hundred other technological developments that certainly weren't available to the very first battery powered automobiles.
Quit being a retard.
I never said you could build a Tesla with 1890 technology.
Now that has been cleared up.
Go find some one else to Troll with your nonsense. ...
As soon as you admit that your knowledge of the development of technology - evinced by your contention that a Tesla and a battery powered car of the 1890s are significantly equivalent - is seriously lacking.
huh? where did he say that?

Lol you have a serious mental problem.
Seek immediate medical help before it's too late. ... :cuckoo: ...
Surely you're aware that all your posts are still visible.

If, as the lead post points out, 20% of EV owners plan to go back to ICEs, does that mean that 80% plan to stick with EVs? That probably explains

"Global Sales of Electric Vehicles/Cars to Grow at 22% Market CAGR Share to Reach USD 700 Billion By 2026"

The 20 deadliest cars on the road. Not a single EV on the list. The most dangerous vehicle in the country is the Ford F-150 pickup truck. How many of you are driving one right now?

Hahaha haha hahaha

Probably has nothing to do with the fact that there are more f-150s on the road than any vehicle in the U.S.

The Nissan Altima, #9 on that list, had the lowest 2018 sales in the top 10 fatal crashers.......209,146.
Total US sales of EVs in 2018 were about 361,000. From 2011-2018, only 1,125,823 EVs.
Over the same period, about 129 million total cars were sold in the US.

Are you shocked that vehicles with such tiny sales had fewer accidents?

Are you as bad at statistics as you seem?

Truck platforms, Crossover Vehicles and Vans keep the American Auto Companies healthy.

I predict we could have batteries that will allow you to go 2000 miles on a single charge by then and that may actually be a conservative estimate.

Cool!
What type of battery is going to have that energy density?

We'll find out from now till 2035, unless you think we've already reached the pinnacle of battery technology

We are well past the pinnacle of battery technology, because already we are relying on rare earth elements that are impractical on a larger scale.

Really?! You mean we can't possibly make a better battery past what we have now? lolll. Even as you say this, last year, Tesla announced they were in the current process of manufacturing a new battery that would have a lifespan of over 1 million miles but also tested to last up to 2 million miles and still have it be cheaper than what they were currently using, as well as have a longer range. The newest generation roadster already has a 620 mile range.
Link?

It doesn't. The ranking is based on "occupants killed per fatal crash"
