Never watched a single one. I did watch Monty Python on PBS though.

Beyond that, about the only sitcom I actually regularly watched in the 80s I can think of was CHEERS.

I guess Tom Hanks could be funny in his breakout role in Bosom Buddies.

The 80s were some pretty bleak times after the Psychedelic Sixties and the Super Seventies!

I watched all those and i watched Different Strokes, Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, The Jeffersons, MASH, All in the Family and Small Wonder.

Family ties might be the best sitcom from the 80s.

Damn, I don't remember watching any of them in a regular basis.....I worked nights a lot though so it was mostly syndicated re-runs for me when I bothered.

I do remember enjoying Mork and Mindy but usually just saw that doing rounds in the cell house.

LOL.....I bet I saw more Soul Train than any of them.

Ditto. I was working too hard, doing a job and building a business.

Besides, I didn't want to be identified with the brainless twats who ate up the likes of Cheers and Miami Vice and the Letterman show. I remember at one time while I was working the night shift, the noc nurses would come on duty and their first priority, instead of tending to their patients, was finding an empty room where they could put Letterman on the TV. It grossed me out.
