17 year old Alaskan Lydia Jacoby wins gold

What gutter is your mind in? It looks to me her parents were attending the festivities taking place at the olympian's high school.
The cops are still pressing charges and they're conflating mental health with sex offense in cases like this, and filling dozens of child pornography cases in federal court.

That's what happens when you live 24×7 in a gutter red-light district of heavy prostitution, drug-addicted street girls, and complicit cops.

Maybe she is not woke !!
Amazing at 17 ..to win a gold
Wow
That's great!

17 years old and a gold medalist, so cool!
I don't disagree and I don't find fault with a 17 year old for swimming. Not at all. Just that the aforementioned "watchers" need to get off the weed, and people need to stop running such a bloodbath red-light district in a court of law over everything. Otherwise there's no point to hosting or patronizing Olympic games.

Don't watch the Olympics, except for a couple of events, but I felt sorry for Bile dropping out, the pressure on a kid must be huge.

Congrats to Jacoby for her win, and I hope she wins some more.

That's awesome!

I guess I just don't expect a swimming gold medalist to come from someplace like Alaska but, hey, there ya' go!

Kind of like a Jamaican bobsledding team winning. But, Alaska was a very rich state for a while, and the number of huge indoor pools is pretty high per capita. Even small towns have large indoor pools.

Oh yeah, I get that.

Has there been an Olympic gold medalist from Alaska before?

I have no idea, but I bet a lot of drunk Inuits die by drowning.

On edit, a search reveals she is Alaska's first. Apparently she trained with whales and sea lions.

lol not really people would freeze to death in minutes swimming in the ocean up there even in summer.
