Bad habits key to man's longevity

Zhang Shuqing, a centenarian in Pixian, Sichuan, has his own secret for long life - smoking every day and drinking liquor after every meal.

Zhang, whose daughter died eight years ago, turned 100 on May 7. He lives with his nephew Zhang Chenggui.

Zhang senior said he started smoking and drinking strong liquor when he was in his early 20s. Since then, he has smoked every day and taken a drink with every meal.

According to his grandson Xu, Zhang has consumed 15 tons of liquor and more than a ton of tobacco in his lifetime.

Zhang, who is in good health, has a huge appetite, with a standard meal comprising two chicken legs, a bowl of steamed pork fat and glutinous rice, vegetables and fruit. And he eats the lot in less than 20 minutes.

Imagine how old he could live to if he had a good diet?

Some people are just lucky to have an indestructable system

gotta have the booze ,its worth the years it takes away.

Smoke in moderation is good depending on what you smoke.

Pork fat?....no way

At least he gets some fruits and vegetables. Must be the antioxidants.

Yeah, pork fat just sounds nasty. The closest I want to get to pork fat is bacon, and I eat that only in moderation.

As for smoking, if they'd legalize pot, I'd give up cigs.

Beer (not that colored water some call beer) , tequila, and Maker's Mark: Proof that there may be a God and He wants us to be happy.

mmmmm margarita shots and yes I like water beer.
Its great for hot summer days ,you can drink twice as much and not get so drunk.

HAHAHA! The water beer days- when quantity trumped quality because you had to buy college books. Those were good times. The biggest decision in life back then was do I spend the last of my hard earned money on a case of Milwaukee's Best or the half rack of Budweiser.

BUD?

nasty

miller now that was the ticket.

I often ended up withy lucky lager , loved those puzzles.

But now a 24 oz mug of coors light when its 115 in the shade works very well.

Looking back on my water beer days, my favorite was the green beer on Saint Paddy's day. It was like rubbing alcohol with green food coloring but for 50 cents a pint nobody complained.

Couple years ago I went to visit an old high school friend in South Dakota. Turns out the bikers drink Bud Light to the point of trashedness. Not very economical, really. For one of those 300 pound grizzlies it must take about a thousand Bud Lights to do the job.

/No pork fat for me, thanks.

That is the beauty of a nice light beer ,it hepls you maintain a nice little buzz and you can always have a margarita shot to amp it up a notch when needed:party:

No we're not talking about a nice little all day buzz. We're talking about staggering, whooping, drunk-ass-drunk. Off Bud Light. That takes work.

That was the first time I'd had Bud Light since my early 20s I think. I could have put a lime wedge in it and passed it off as club soda.

Anyone remember the days of Zima? I bet lieberalism still drinks it while jerking off to gay porn in his mother's basement.

I personally like screwdrivers and Pina Coladas myself. I hate cigs, but I like cigars and hookah.

I won't touch pork fat, even with a 10 foot pole.
