While I think that this woman's sentence is much closer to what I would like to see ALL teachers who rape students receive...I do have to "wonder" what the difference between her and all the skinny blonde teachers who got off (no pun intended) with their teachers license being revoked and a warning.

I know that in one of those cases, the parents wouldn't press charges, but I do think that the obvious double-standard here is somewhat amusing. Where's the major press coverage for this one? Where's Geraldo Rivera saying "Hey, its different for boys than it is for girls...this is no big deal!"

The victim's family appears to have been quite active in wanting the maximum sentence - I wonder how this compares to the Hot Teacher cases.

Society seems to think that a male who is sexual abused by a "hot" female really liked it so they see the law as a joke. Now if they get sexually abused by some ugly witch society can drum up a few ounces of sympathy becuase of the EWWWW factor.
