Hey, maybe the mods can ban this prick from my thread if he keeps this up.

The way I see it, in the unlikely event that gas reaches $10.00 a gallon you have 3 choices.
1. Pay $10.00 a gallon.
2. Buy an EV
3. Walk.
If it happens gradually over a few years time, it won't be so bad, but if it shoots up in two years or something crazy like he's predicting, it could get a little Mad Max out there real fast , starting with a Teamsters strike, closed Interstates--you can imagine the rest.

The economy is heading toward localization, whether we realize it or not. It's inevitable.

What did Texas Republicans do NOW?

Not going to happen. Most of our oil comes from the gulf and South America except for what comes from Canada. And exploration and refinement can continue.

By exploration, you mean destroying the Arctic Sea probably, but the truth is we've passed 'peak'oil' reserves and you can deny all you want but can't prevent the inevitable.

No...
North Atlantic off the European coast...also off the Central African Coast and the South America coast also the Mediterranean...there's lots of oil out there...lots of cheap oil too. Just a matter of getting it.

There are other, potentially worse scenarios that Murawski and Boesch worry about, like a pipe fracturing below the seafloor instead of in the water as it did during the Deepwater Horizon crisis. If there were to be a leak below the seafloor, the oil would dissipate into the rock formation surrounding it and escape wherever it can find cracks in the rock. “That would be a doomsday scenario because there’s no way you can shut it off,” says Murawski. You couldn’t simply plop a capping stack over a leaking pipe.
