Beatles was 2 parts awesome, 3 parts outright suck and the remaining half was sappy/bubble gum love songs that sounded like children's music.

The Bee Gees were set to become a massive, influential band. Their talents were undeniable. But then came disco. And they went that route... and died when it died.

A beautiful song... and a precursor to what might have been...

When I went into the military in the 70s the Bee Gees were all they wanted to play on the radio besides Rock & Roll, Zeppelin, and other bands of the day.

This is the crap they were playing in between.

The Beatles were the only thing out there worth listening to in the early 60s.
When they started dropping acid they started exploring music like nobody's business.

At the time there was The Lettermen and a bunch of folk music bands. The 50s had the best music, then everything went to shit till the Beatles came along.
