So there was a period when capitalism and the people living then had no problems? Name the historical framework of this period, please. The problem with capitalism currently is the way it's being applied.
What does that even mean? Are you demanding that capitalism magically produce a society free of problems??? Why? I guess you could make the same demand of any economic or political system, and pretend like you've made some kind point. So there was a period when capitalism and the people living then had no problems? Name the historical framework of this period, please.
I didn't say that. YOU. Name the historical framework of this period, please. So there was a period when capitalism and the people living then had no problems? Name the historical framework of this period, please.
Prices up 43% on average since Biden took office. You best look in the mirror.
Thats not the point, the point is its not working because of Greed.
Capitalism works best when emoyees use their skills against their employers. More workers leaving the system in mass in their early 50s will ignite the economy.
It's too bad because employers want their older employees gone.Liberals want to eliminate tax advantaged retirement accounts.
And with Bidenflation, people have to work longer than ever.
Sorry, no mass exodus of 50 years old from the workforce is on the horizon.
Love thy neighbor as thyself
You might even say small problems. Slavery, colonial plunder, wars, poverty, exploitation.... In 500 years of capitalism, all these things are still intractable stains even in the richest capitalist countries, and in the poorer capitol countries, all these things blossom as they have for all these 500 years. What does that even mean? Are you demanding that capitalism magically produce a society free of problems???
Riiiight. Slavery, plunder, wars and poverty are caused by capitalism. Probably causes acne too.You might even say small problems. Slavery, colonial plunder, wars, poverty, exploitation.... Slavery under capitalism, was revived precisely because of capitalism and its commodity relations. People under capitalism are as much a commodity as any other thing. And if slavery is profitable, capitalism will not hesitate to use it. Like in the world's freest USA in the 18th and 19th centuries.Riiiight. Slavery, plunder, wars and poverty are caused by capitalism. Probably causes acne too.
In 2000 years of existence, Christianity, under different economic and political systems, has not been able to accomplish this.Love thy neighbor as thyself
Four decades of growing inequality has led to interesting shifts in public opinion, including the attitudes of the wealthy. A majority of households in G-20 countries with more than $1 million in wealth support higher taxes on themselves. January 2024 polling found 74 percent of millionaire households support wealth taxes to address the cost of living crisis and improve public services. 72% think that extreme wealth helps buy political influence, and 54% think that extreme wealth is a threat to democracy itself.
99% of all religion claiming to be christian= false religion. In 2000 years of existence, Christianity, under different economic and political systems, has not been able to accomplish this.
Here's what the U.S. Ambassador to the USSR, Davis, wrote about Christianity:
(July 7, 1941)
"My friend Lindberg surprised me greatly by declaring that he prefers Nazism to Communism. In general, to make such a choice is a desperate matter, but the difference between the two is too great. Both Germany and Russia are totalitarian states. Both are realistic. Both employ strict and ruthless methods.
There is, however, one essential difference, which can be shown as follows. If Marx, Lenin or Stalin were believing Christians, and if one were to try to place the communist experiment carried out in Russia within the framework of the tenets of the Catholic or Protestant Church, the result would be heralded as the greatest achievement of Christianity in all of human history in its pursuit of humanity and the realization of Christian precepts in the life of society.
The fact is that the Christian religion can be reconciled with Communist principles without doing great violence to its economic and political aims, the chief of which is the “brotherhood of all men.” Performing a similar test with regard to Nazism, we find that it is impossible to combine the two ideologies. The principle of Christian ideology cannot be superimposed on the Nazi philosophy without destroying the political basis of the state. The Nazi philosophy creates a state that is actually based on the negation of the altruistic principles of Christianity.
For the Nazis, love, charity, justice and Christian values are just manifestations of weakness and decadence if they conflict with the needs of the state.
This is the difference - a communist Soviet state can operate with Christianity as the basis for the ultimate goal of universal brotherhood of men. Communists allow for the withering away of the state as man improves, whereas the Nazi ideal is the exact opposite - the state above all else."
